T-Mobile Disregards Supreme Court Ruling on Vaccine Mandate – Will Terminate Unvaccinated Employees

T-mobile, an American wireless network partly owned by German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom, sent out an intimidating email to its employees on Friday stating that those who do not become fully vaccinated by April 2 will be terminated from their job.

According to the email obtained by TGP, employees who failed to show proof of first vaccination by February 21 will be placed on unpaid leave. Employees who do not become fully vaccinated and obtain a Magenta Pass will be terminated by April 2.

“Employees who have not yet taken action to receive their first dose and upload proof by February 21 will be placed on unpaid leave. Affected employees who do not become fully vaccinated and obtain a Magenta Pass by April 2 will be separated from T-Mobile. Those employees who have a pending or approved medical or religious accommodation or state-specific exemption through the HR process are excluded from this action for the duration of their pending or approved accommodation or exemption.”

However, mobile experts at T-Mobile stores who are more at risk of getting Covid are not required to get vaccinated.“In Retail, where we don’t have control of who enters, our Mobile Experts have served customers incredibly well throughout the pandemic. We’ll continue to take precautions like masking and encourage Mobile Experts to be vaccinated, but not require it. We will also be encouraging regular testing.”

Croatian President calls PM 'Ukrainian agent’

Milanovic said earlier Croatia would recall all troops from NATO deployments in the region in case of a Russia-Ukraine war

Croatian President Zoran Milanovic called Prime Minister Andrey Plenkovic an agent of Ukraine on Friday, two days after the latter apologized to Ukrainians over the president’s comments on NATO deployments.

In a televised address on Tuesday, Milanovic said that Zagreb would withhold its troops from Eastern European NATO contingents if the situation on the Ukraine-Russia border spirals into a full-blown conflict.

Joni Mitchell to remove songs from Spotify in solidarity with Neil Young's stance against Joe Rogan's COVID 'misinformation'

Singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell says she will remove her catalogue from Spotify in solidarity with fellow Canadian musical artist Neil Young's stance against COVID "misinformation" on the streaming service.

Key points:

Mitchell said she was standing in solidarity with Neil Young and the "global scientific and medical communities"

Young's music was removed after he told Spotify to choose between streaming his music or Joe Rogan's podcast

Mitchell's music was still available on Australian Spotify on Saturday afternoon

The nine-time Grammy award winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee announced her decision to remove her music from Spotify in a statement posted to her official website.

Mitchell cited Young's stance as a motivating factor behind her decision, as well as a letter from 270 scientific and medical experts calling for Spotify to implement a misinformation policy in response to contentious claims aired by Dr Robert Malone on an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience.

"I’ve decided to remove all my music from Spotify," Mitchell's statement said.

"Irresponsible people are spreading lies that are costing people their lives. I stand in solidarity with Neil Young and the global scientific and medical communities on this issue."

As of Saturday afternoon, Mitchell's music was still available on the streaming platform in Australia.

Mitchell's announcement comes after Young's music was removed from Spotify in response to a letter the musician addressed to his manager and record label demanding the streaming service no longer carry his music because, he said, Rogan had spread misinformation about COVID-19 vaccines.

"They can have Rogan or Young. Not both," Young wrote.

The only Young songs now available on Spotify appear on compilation albums, while full albums of his former bands — including Crazy Horse; Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young; and Buffalo Springfield — remain available to stream.

World Health Organization chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has praised the musician's stance in a tweet thanking him for "standing up against misinformation and inaccuracies around COVID-19 vaccination".

Rogan's podcast is exclusively aired on Spotify after the former actor and TV host signed a deal believed to be worth more than $US100 million in 2020.
