This article by Ren Jander is right on the money. I ain't no law fag but I can read and understand good, thought out, reasoned english and decide if what I'm reading has credibility and validity. This article has both.
All I can do is smfh at the fuckery that has been allowed to take place not only in my state of Georgia, but in this nation.
Our state legislature, the majority leaders in Georgia's senate and house acted illegally in knowingly, allowing the SoS Raffensperger to illegally certify the election results. These two legislative bodies here in Georgia as in all states, have plenary power to call themselves to session. They did not need nor require the Governor to do so. They alone, had the fucking power to do so. No one gives a FUCK. They all relied on the probability that no one would know about any of this. Even accomplished law fags.
We have the Constitution, the law, we have precedence in a SCOTUS decision. Article 1 S/2 is unambiguous. Instead, our state leaders made the arbitrary decision to do what they wanted to do. The law is codified and is standing on the books today. It was simply ignored. Ousting President Donald J. Trump from office was the priority. All else, be damned.
So, follow and obey the procedures and laws you want and don't follow and obey the procedures and laws you don't want. No mind that the entire foundation of this Republic was built and must continue to be built on the "rule of law". Not worth the paper it's written on if we have no men of virtue, honesty and integrity that are simply going to do what they want. Not as the law says. It is as disgusting as it gets.
I have come to the very real conclusion supported day in and day out and over a long period of time by irrefutable, empirical evidence that our Republic has crossed the Rubicon and the path downward is cemented in stone. I have come to this conclusion for one simple fact. No one in a position to do so will do what is necessary to save this Republic. Those we exalt, call heros and thank emdlessly for their service fighting for our liberty, freedom and protecting and defending our Constitution are only interested in doing so in far off lands. They refuse to do so here, on our own soil. Too far, too wide, too deep. Too many. Our system of governance is irreparably corrupted, soiled and it's fate, our fate, is sealed.
Who will heed the words of Jefferson, Burke? No one.
God help US.
