Border Sheriff Exposes How Biden Admin Helps Drug Smugglers: Here's What They Don't Want You to Know

Yuma, along with other border counties in Arizona, has begun seeing a surge in immigrants crossing the border. With thousands flooding into the U.S., places like Yuma are suffering as Border Patrol is overwhelmed and local officials and services are stretched thin.

But the influx of immigrants is a nationwide problem and Yuma is just one of the entry points for human and drug trafficking, which is causing a crisis on the border and throughout the whole country.

Sheriff Leon Wilmot of Yuma County spoke with The Western Journal to describe the chaotic situation at the border.

At the end of the year, Mexico began emptying shelters and the Migrant Protection Protocols (also known as “Remain in Mexico” from the Trump administration) were upheld.

This caused a rush at the border.

Wilmot said that typically Border Patrol agents in Yuma deal with about 700 to 800 immigrants a day. But those numbers shot up to over 1,100, even up to 1,300 individuals crossing the border each day.

This overwhelmed Border Patrol and took agents off the border roads in order to try to process those entering. The problem is that Border Patrol was barely able to handle the normal numbers of immigrants crossing the border, let alone an influx.

The surge also strained local resources in Yuma. Immigrants flooded the one hospital in town, called ambulances to pick them up at the border and even walked into Wilmot’s jail to try to get processed.

Under current policies, Wilmot sees no end in sight to this influx.

“[F]rom talking with our federal partners on the ground, they don’t see this stopping or slowing down at all. It’s just increasing,” he said.

But despite this apparent crisis, Homeland Security has not seemed to take any note of the issues at the Mexico border with Yuma.

Wilmot said that Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas was actually on the way to San Diego near the end of the year for a cybercrime meeting and didn’t bother to stop in Arizona, despite “knowing full well that there is a crisis down here on the border to the point where the mayor had to declare an emergency because it’s impacting local resources.”

Homeland Security’s neglect is particularly concerning since it is the cartels in Mexico that are actively manipulating a large part of the immigration surge. They are trafficking both humans and drugs over the border.

US lawmakers urge Blinken to halt UN probe into crimes committed during Gaza conflict

House members say UN investigation is part of 'continued broader bias against Israel'

More than 40 members of the Unted States Congress have sent a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken, calling on the Biden administration to lead an effort to end a United Nations commission looking into alleged Israeli war crimes against Palestinians.

The bipartisan group of 42 House members, led by pro-Israel Democrat Josh Gottheimer and Republican Vicky Hartzler, said the investigation looking into possible Israeli war crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories reflects a "continued broader bias against Israel", and said the UN should focus its attention elsewhere.

"Please know that while Congress may be divided on the Administration's decision to rejoin the [UN Human Rights Council], we stand united in urging you to act upon the Administration's commitment to defend Israel from discriminatory treatment at the Human Rights Council and throughout the UN system," the letter said.

Last year, the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) agreed to launch an investigation with a broad mandate to probe all alleged violations Israel had committed against Palestinians following its May offensive on Gaza, which killed at least 248 Palestinians including more than 60 children.

The investigators, who have been tasked with trying to identify those responsible for violations with a view to ensure they are held accountable, are due to present their first report in June.

F.B.I. Secretly Bought Israeli Spyware and Explored Hacking U.S. Phones

Israel used the NSO Group’s software as a tool of diplomacy. The F.B.I. wanted it for domestic surveillance. Then everything soured. Here are highlights of a New York Times Magazine investigation.

It is widely regarded as the world’s most potent spyware, capable of reliably cracking the encrypted communications of iPhone and Android smartphones.

The software, Pegasus, made by an Israeli company, NSO Group, has been able to track terrorists and drug cartels. It has also been used against human rights activists, journalists and dissidents.

Now, an investigation published Friday by The New York Times Magazine has found that Israel, which controls the export of the spyware, just as it does the export of conventional weapons, has made Pegasus a key component of its national security strategy, using it to advance its interests around the world.

The yearlong investigation, by Ronen Bergman and Mark Mazzetti, also reports that the F.B.I. bought and tested NSO software for years with plans to use it for domestic surveillance until the agency finally decided last year not to deploy the tools.

The Times found that sales of Pegasus played a critical role in securing the support of Arab nations in Israel’s campaign against Iran and negotiating the Abraham Accords, the 2020 diplomatic agreements, signed at a Trump White House ceremony, that normalized relations between Israel and some of its longtime Arab adversaries.

The U.S. sought the cyberweapon for domestic use.

The U.S. had also moved to acquire Pegasus, The Times found. The F.B.I., in a deal never previously reported, bought the spyware in 2019, despite multiple reports that it had been used against activists and political opponents in other countries. It also spent two years discussing whether to deploy a newer product, called Phantom, inside the United States.

The discussions at the Justice Department and the F.B.I. continued until last summer, when the F.B.I. ultimately decided not to use NSO weapons.

But Pegasus equipment is still in a New Jersey building used by the F.B.I. And the company also gave the agency a demonstration of Phantom, which could hack American phone numbers.

A brochure for potential customers, obtained by The Times, says that Phantom allows American law enforcement and spy agencies to “turn your target’s smartphone into an intelligence gold mine.”

The yearlong Times investigation was based on interviews with government officials, leaders of intelligence and law enforcement agencies, cyber experts, business executives and privacy activists in a dozen countries.

It tells the story of NSO’s rise from a start-up operating out of a converted chicken coop on an agricultural cooperative to its blacklisting by the Biden administration in November because of its use by foreign governments to “maliciously target” dissidents, journalists and others.

Syria: Assad regime announces prosecuting US officials

The Syrian Bashar Al-Assad regime called on the US to withdraw its forces from Syrian territories, threatening that it would prosecute officials in the administration and US forces.

In a statement on Thursday evening, the Military Prosecution of the Assad regime declared that it would: "Prosecute officials in the administration and the US forces for the presence of evidence of violations committed by the US forces in Syria."

"Prosecutions will include not only the penal part, but also claims for victims' rights to compensation before competent national and international judicial authorities," the statement added.

The statement considered that the US presence in Syria is "unjustified", especially as the US did not obtain prior permission from the Assad government regarding this presence, nor did the United Nations Security Council authorise it.

The statement accused US forces of supporting the "separatist project" in north-eastern Syria, noting at the same time: "There is evidence that proves that many members of Daesh are receiving training from US soldiers."

The statement pointed out that Washington: "Deliberately ignored the recent events that took place in Al-Hasakah, along with the movements of Daesh prior to launching an attack on Ghweran prison."

The statement continued: "The Military Public Prosecution now has compelling evidence, confirming that the United States controls the organisation's movements and activities in Syria from its base in Al-Tanf."

It also added: "The Syrian Penal Code and the articles of the 1949 Geneva Convention will allow for prosecutions for all those involved in what the US occupation is doing within the Syrian territories, whether they are Syrians or foreigners."

Romney tests positive for coronavirus

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) tested positive for a breakthrough case of COVID-19, his office said in a statement on Friday.

“Senator Romney tested positive today for COVID-19. He is currently asymptomatic and will be isolating and working remotely for the recommended period of time,” his office said. “Mrs. Romney has tested negative. Both Senator and Mrs. Romney have been fully vaccinated and boosted against the virus.”

Several dozen lawmakers in both the House and Senate, almost all of whom were vaccinated, have tested positive for COVID-19 since last summer.

Some of the lawmakers who tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this month included Reps. Michael McCaul (R-Texas), Ben Cline (R-Va.), John Katko (R-N.Y.), Jim Cooper (D-Tenn.) and Jeff Fortenberry (R-Neb.).

The United States is still reporting daily COVID-19 cases in the hundreds of thousands, including over 570,000 infections reported on Thursday, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Earlier this week, President Biden’s chief medical adviser Anthony Fauci said that he was confident that most states would see COVID-19 cases peak in mid-February.

"You never want to be overconfident when you're dealing with this virus," Fauci said during an appearance on ABC's "This Week." "But if you look at the patterns that we've seen in South Africa, in the U.K. and in Israel … they have peaked and [are] starting to come down rather sharply."

While evidence increasingly suggests that the omicron variant is less likely that delta to cause severe illness or death, the United States this week saw the average number of COVID-19 deaths outpace the delta surge’s peak from last September.

Separately, the Supreme Court earlier this month blocked the Biden administration vaccine-or-test mandate that would have applied to businesses with at least 100 employees, which officials early on said would prevent at least 250,000 hospitalizations and thousands of deaths.

It served as a stinging defeat for the Biden administration as officials try to further curb the COVID-19 pandemic.

ADL Changes Definition Of Racism So Only Whites Can Be Labeled As Racist

The Anti-Defamation League has changed the definition of racism so that it only applies to white people.

The pro-Israel, pro-censorship lobbying group currently defines racism as, "The marginalization and/or oppression of people of color based on a socially constructed racial hierarchy that privileges white people."

Their previous definition for racism said: "Racism is the belief that a particular race is superior or inferior to another, that a person's social and moral traits are predetermined by his or her inborn biological characteristics. Racial separatism is the belief, most of the time based on racism, that different races should remain segregated and apart from one another."

They appear to have changed the definition in July 2020.

Their older definition presents problems considering their own supremacist and separatist policy positions.

Though the average American doesn't even know who the ADL is and their website doesn't get much traffic relative to their outsized influence, Google is now manually giving the ADL the number one result when you search "racism."

Northern Territory introduces seven-day outdoor mask mandate from 6pm on Saturday

Territorians will be required to mask up every time they leave the house, with a new outdoor mask mandate coming into effect from 6pm on Saturday

The Northern Territory government will implement a seven-day outdoor mask mandate in a desperate attempt to slow the spread of Omicron.

Health Minister Natasha Fyles announced the tightened restriction on Saturday as an additional 828 COVID-19 cases were recorded in the Top End.

The outdoor mask mandate will come into effect at 6pm on Saturday and remain in place for one week.

“You’ve started to see people take personal responsibility … it’s an extension of that,” Ms Fyles said.

“People should wear a mask when they are outdoors and they can't physically distance.”

Face masks will continue to be required in indoor settings at the conclusion of the seven days, with Ms Fyles indicating that mandate will be “with us for some time”.

There are 111 coronavirus cases in hospital across the NT, including 10 people on oxygen and five patients in intensive care.

Of the new cases on Saturday, 648 were recorded from rapid antigen tests and 180 were found in PCR swabs.

There are now 4,650 active infections across the NT.

On Friday, Chief Minister Michael Gunner announced the NT's coronavirus vaccine mandate would now include booster shots and the interval between the second and third jabs would be reduced to three months from Monday.

Leaked Video Shows Border Patrol Agents Eviscerating Biden’s BP Chief Over Failure to Secure The US Border

“We stay focused, Ortiz can be heard saying to the upset crowd. “We continue to do the job and the mission we all signed up for. We all raised our hand.”

Yes, sure. Everyone in that room took an oath to do this job, but, as members of the group immediately pointed out, they signed up to “defend the constitution” – not facilitate an invasion.

One man can even be heard yelling “that’s kind of hard to say!” in response to Ortiz, as the crowd became more incensed.

“It’s not hard to say that” Ortiz, who is visibly furious, barks back. “It may be hard for you to say it, but I’ve been doing this for 31 years. It’s not hard for me to say it. Every day I wake up and I am committed to this organization, and I’m committed to each one of y’all.”

The Agents were not buying the BS and immediately criticized Ortiz for his baseless insinuation. One can be heard calling out the mass release of criminals into the country, to which he is told “you’re getting too bogged down in the policies and politics.”

Another upset agent points out that those policies have restricted them from even referring to illegals as ‘illegal aliens,’ as they should be allowed to, but Ortiz continued his temper tantrum and fired back a response on par with a 4-year-old, which is apparently the standard operating procedure for Biden’s goons.

“You just said it! See? is anything going to happen to you?” Ortiz hissed.

“Why are you so caught up in the semantics, right? There’s a mission out here to be had, guys,” he continues. We can sit here and argue until we are blue in the face. I’ve been doing this job as long as y’all.”

“That’s a problem!” one man shouts, before another adds “for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. That’s exactly what’s happening here! Good men are doing nothing. You’re allowing illegal aliens to be dropped off in our communities.”

“You are doing something,” Ortiz implores.

“No, we’re not,” the agent replies definitively.

Ortiz then tries to claim that they are taking drugs off the streets, to which he is quickly shot down by an agent who points out that there have been more deaths this year from fentanyl than any other year.

Congress Launches New Pro-Israel ‘Cheerleading’ Caucus

WASHINGTON — Earlier this month, Congress launched the bicameral, bipartisan Abraham Accords Caucus to support normalization between Israel and Arab states. Backed by pro-Israel groups, this new political development can be interpreted as a way for the Israel lobby to regain its power over a U.S. Congress that is increasingly critical of Israel.

Described as a “cheerleading squad” in the Jewish Insider by its co-chair, Sen. James Lankford (R-OK), the caucus’s stated goals include expanding the Abraham Accords agreements and fostering regional peace. The group’s other co-chairs are Sens. Jacky Rosen (D-NV), Joni Ernst (R-IA) and Cory Booker (D-NJ), and Reps. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA), David Trone (D-MD), Ann Wagner (R-MO), and Brad Schneider (D-IL).

The Institute for Middle East Understanding (IMEU) speculated that one of the caucus’ top priorities may be passing the Israel Relations Normalization Act, a bill requiring the United States Department of State to promote normalization between Israel and Arab countries. The IMEU also outlined why the new caucus is particularly controversial, highlighting how the group could be used to crack down on criticism of the Israeli government.

IMEU said in its policy analysis:

In addition to the problematic nature of reifying Trump-administration deals with authoritarian regimes, this legislation is controversial for additional reasons, among which are: A statement of policy “to oppose efforts to delegitimize the state of Israel.” In other legislative initiatives, this vague phraseology has been used as coded language to propose the suppression and even criminalization of freedom of expression to criticize Israeli policies.

The idea that the Abraham Accords need a “cheerleading squad” is particularly fitting in this political climate in which traditional bipartisan support is waning, Zaha Hassan, a policy analyst at Palestinian think tank Al-Shabaka, explained to MintPress News, adding:

Hassan noted that the timing of the caucus’s debut is important to note as well, as politicians — specifically Democratic members of Congress — and the public have started questioning or even condemning Israel’s actions. She explained:

We have organizations like Human Rights Watch and various Israeli legal and human rights organizations talking about an apartheid situation in Israel-Palestine.

And just at that moment when we’re having that conversation, there’s all this uptick in activity around talking about peace, prosperity, regional economic integration, and expanding the Abraham Accords, and that’s now become the focus of attention.”

With a failed peace process and congressional members calling for greater accountability for Israel, Hassan said the conversation around Palestine-Israel is shifting, and that’s where the new caucus steps in to act as a diversionary tactic:

It’s trying to find a new direction for the conversation to go in, recognizing the peace process can no longer be used as an excuse.

The idea is that since there isn’t a possibility in Israel or among Palestinians for a peace agreement, we should focus instead on bettering the economic situation of Palestinians and the region writ large.”

Washington trooper who defied state vaccine mandate and told gov to ‘kiss my a–‘ dies from COVID-19

A Washington State Patrol officer who defied a statewide vaccine mandate and signed off for the last time by telling Democratic Gov. Jay Inslee to “kiss my a–” is dead from COVID-19.

Former Trooper Robert LaMay, 51, who served 22 years with the State Patrol and retired last October, died on Friday.

LaMay garnered attention from Americans across the country after he signed off for the last time as an officer and told Washington Gov. Jay Inslee he “can kiss my a–” over forced vaccine mandates.

Following LaMay’s death, Washington State Patrol Chief John R. Batiste released a statement praising him for his service, which Batiste said “will be long remembered and appreciated.”

“I am deeply saddened over the news that our former friend and colleague Trooper Robert LaMay has passed away,” Batiste said. “This agency’s prayers and remembrances are with his family and loved ones. Rob served honorably for over two decades, and we were disappointed to see him leave the agency this past October. His service to this state and agency will be long remembered and appreciated.”

“Let us now remember our old friend, support his family and loved ones, give thanks for his service, and resolve to meet the challenges ahead with continuing duty, dignity and respect,” Batiste added.

In his final sign-off last October, LaMay said he had worked sick and buried a lot of friends over the past 22 years of his service to the state.

After the ADL declared Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers to be the most extremist politician in the country, Rogers thanked the ADL “losers” for the accolade.

The report from the leftist, pro-Jewish Anti Defamation League, “Extremism on the Ballot in 2022,” was released earlier this week. An “analysis of extremist rhetoric in the elections,” as described by Tammy Gillies, the ADL’s Regional Director for San Diego and Phoenix, the report put Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers “at the top of [the] list.”

Rogers, one of the biggest proponents of the America First agenda in the country, was attacked by the ADL for daring to support popular livestreamer Nick Fuentes, and for recognizing the problems of integrity in the 2020 election.

NBC’s 12 News also insinuated Rogers was a racist due to referring to herself as “pure blood,” a common online meme meaning somebody has not taken the COVID-19 vaccine. “Words matter, and words motivate people, and anti-Semitic tropes and hateful language can lead to actual physical violence,” Gillies said, in an attempt to shut down Rogers’s legal speech.

With her usual positive attitude, Rogers responded to the report, saying she was just “moving the ol’ Overton window” towards America First ideas. “Thanks for the award losers,” she added. “I love all people but am not going to sell out and moderate my opinions and positions because of you paid Soros hacks.”

“I am so dangerous,” Rogers added in a further post on social media. “I am a STATE SENATOR. I am not the President, a United States Senator, or a United States Congressman. I am not a Governor or even in Senate Leadership. Yet the ADL calls me the most dangerous person in the NATION at the top of list.”

Other 2022 America First candidates targeted by the report include Allen West, the former Texas GOP Chair who is currently in the running for Texas Governor, Tim Swain, a candidate for the US Senate in South Carolina, and Josh Barnett, another Arizonan running for Congress.
