It's when it is quiet during magma movement, then that is a problem.

Pressure builds and blows.

Magma movement, rearranging itself with earthquakes releasing that movement is good.

This is the YOUNGEST Hawaiian island, with still active volcanos.

Perfectly normal.

The problem is people moving next to active volcano areas. (cheap land)

They know what they are getting into when they move there,

and take the risk for the low rent.
