I stopped reading at this post and had to get up out of bed. I knew I wasn’t going to fall asleep again after laughing that hard. Back out on the road, and wanted to thank you for the funny observation. It’s still funny, but saddened a bit because it really encapsulated so much of the frustration i’v had with my older family. Mother and father were ‘hippie era’, although i never viewed them as actual hippies, yet they did (ironically) imbue me with lots of ‘distrust of the man’ even though over the years they, more than my peers, grow more and more enured to The System. Because of that, as i would point out the corruption, sedition and treason, ]tHEy[ would more and more try talking me down from my anger with it.
There is something very funnynotfunny about all that. Just wanted to share and thank you for boiling it down to such a simple observation. Not Sure yet how this will all untangle, but humor is definitely helping.
