Sorry to jump in the middle of the convo, just wanted to interject. If a person doesn’t already possess skills in, machining, gardening, field and tractor work, livestock handling, construction, weapons… many things like that which take extended periods of time not only to learn basics, but to even do marginally well… yes, that person is already behind on such subjects to be trying to race into right now. However, there are plenty of other things such a person CAN do in cooperation with others doing those more advanced works. Just Say’n
I wanted to comment, because this very issue has been a great stressor in my circles with people trying to race ‘all the sudden’, into what they ‘all the sudden’ realize in their awakening.
To alleviate this, invitations to simple cleaning, tidying, organizing, clearing home and living space for others around is a massive and super helpful stepping stone for the time being. Almost anyone can begin there, and the payoff is priceless.
If, IF we survive this, there will be plenty of Lone Wolfs that will be perfectly content to ‘re enter’ coordinated activities. However, consider that many ‘lone wolves’ consciously choose that activity based on an asset vs. liability calculus and for good reasons. Very few people are even capable of considering and accepting the HARDSHIPS that could arise in a really-real breakdown situation. Lone Wolfing is an extremely risky but necessary base-line survival instinct… and humanity would not be here without such. They should not be shunned or scoffed at, if for no other reason than that such people RARELY pray upon nor even ‘skim’ from their fellow kin who choose to huddle around a single campfire.
THEY HATE LIES AND UNTRUTHS. Not being truthful out in Mother Nature, is a very fast way to die.
What a high-skilled individual can often be repulsed by, is a clutch of lackies complaining at the Alpha for ‘not doing enough FOR THEM’ in their opinion. And thus a liability, for the survival of everyone. That’s why a ‘loner-capable’ person has little remorse walking the fuck away. Often, they are exiting to INCREASE the chances for more, rather than less. Forcing The Group to shut-up and nut-up. (Trump, Q, and Mythical White Hats… can be given this benefit of doubt, especially in the current set of circumstances)
This is all only somewhat complicated, but especially for a group that allows itself to PLACE an alpha upon a throne, and then blame that same alpha for all the worthless crap the group still gets into. Beat downs and throat slitting may ensue, thus the bad rap that ‘loners’ have often been further saddled with.
Complicated, in that it IS a delicate balance between enticing a high-skilled and nasty-capable group-protector, without overloading them to a breaking point of disgust with that same group. But keep in mind, Lone Wolves don’t really care for the lifestyle of being alone either… and that’s the part they most resent when THAT instinct is taken advantage of.
Just some thoughts from a Loner-Capable, still interested in companionship, congregation and literate in the maths of economy’s of scale.
