Sharing a personal experience here about Xbox / Microsoft for any of you that use it. And sort of requesting ideas on what to do next. For those of you who may already know, Xbox / Microsoft is dishing out permabans from Xbox Live for "harassment" like they're M&Ms. For simple things like swearing. Or saying "faggot". You get reported and you almost get banned automatically by AI. It's ridiculous. I know this because it happened to me. Reason I'm sharing is because they banned me permanently from the service, but then left my auto-renew for the 16 dollars a month subscription in place, then proceeded to charge me every month for 3 months until I caught it. I called service and requested they pay me my money back for the 3 months they charged me starting after the ban date, and they refused. They said I only qualify for one refund, for one month, they're keeping the other two months. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they said a supervisor already reviewed the case and BECAUSE I AM BANNED, I ONLY GET ONE REFUND. THAT IS THE POLICY.

Anybody know some good lawyers? They charged me 2 months for a service they purposely refused to provide me, refused to refund my money, and it is a potential civil rights case here for violation of free speech. Any advice is appreciated, and make sure if it happens to you you sign on right away and cancel your subscription yourself.

You apparently missed the part about violating free speech. As a policy. They're doing it to EVERYONE. Do the math in your head and leave this subject to the adults in the room.

The constitution supersedes corporate policies. You cannot write a policy that undermines the bill of rights, and then force your users to accept it. It is unconstitutional. And someone needs to bring a case like this to the supreme court. Don't you think?
