Anyone who still entertains any illusions in the ‘progressive’ nature of the Trudeau Government of Canada, would have been shocked to witness the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chrystia Freeland, assembling a collection of regional representatives of the Washington Consensus in Ottawa, on February 4, to further the coup plot against Venezuela. The so called Lima Group that she brought together dutifully issued a statement calling for the “national armed forces of Venezuela to demonstrate their loyalty to the interim president in his constitutional functions as their commander in chief.”

Despite the progressive pretensions of the Liberal Government in Ottawa and the ill deserved reputation that Canada has for ‘peacekeeping’ and for being a moderating influence in international affairs, the present course under Trudeau and Freeland is quite consistent with the country’s role as the other G7 power in North America, a global exploiter in its own right.

The Trudeau Liberals' department of foreign affairs spent over $600,000 promoting feminism in Venezuela. This budget also included a $567-a day publicist that would help arrange interviews, according to Blacklock's Reporter.

The so-called "Venezuelan Project" also included $66,822 for "greater public profile of the female members of the Venezuelan Interim Government."

Blacklock's wrote that the Venezuela Project aimed to "build the leadership capacities: of women in Venezuela. Documents say that budgets included nearly $90,000 for travel, meals, hotels, and flights for 27 women from Venezuela to attend seminars in Europe.

“The project shall aim to achieve the following expected results: Women of the Venezuelan Interim Government and National Assembly are more effective at negotiating and leading high-level diplomacy; greater public profile of the female members of the Venezuelan Interim Government and National Assembly; women are better able to influence and lead the Venezuelan Interim Government’s decision making and set policy,” wrote staff.

$125,000 was also put to Venezuelan legislators, and $5,216 was spent per room rentals for "diplomatic outreach," as well as $1,280 for ads on social media "to amplify communications product visibility."

Canadian police have threatened to arrest truckers blockading the US border in Alberta in protest of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's vaccine mandate unless they leave by Tuesday, a lawyer representing the disgruntled drivers says.

Speaking to RebelNews, Calgary-based civil liberties lawyer Chad Williamson - whose services were contracted by by protesters in the town of Coutts after a successful crowdfunding campaign - revealed that Royal Canadian Mounted Police officials handed members of the so-called 'Freedom Convoy' the ultimatum Tuesday, a day after Trudeau slammed the dissenters for protesting a mandate put on the truckers on January 15.

'The police have essentially shut down all negotiations, period,' Williamson told the outlet Tuesday. 'They have indicated that they got marching orders essentially to reopen the highway.'

'They're not going to discuss anything further with protesters,' the legal eagle added. 'They have indicated that those who leave now are free to do so; those who remain behind run the risk of being arrested.'
