Sounds like they'd been involved for years, and probably everyone knew it, so why the sudden resignation?

Sexual misconduct is the 'public shelter' to accept resignation.

Will Zucker sing like a canary? Does this signal the fall of the fake news media?

Top names in media journalism were shocked Thursday night when two CNN executives got in a public argument.

CNN chief Jeff Zucker and publicist Allison Gollust were seen in an all-out brawl during Thursday night's Hollywood Reporter's 35 Most Powerful People in NY Media party.

Sources at the party told Page Six that the argument was not so much a fight between the pair, despite appearing like one, but simply issues at work spilling over.

A source explained that while the party was taking place, Zucker and Gollust suddenly started intensely speaking and making anguished hand gestures before Gollust stormed away into the crowd.

The entire thing was incredibly public, and took place right in the middle of the festivities.

'It was something they were dealing with at CNN all day, it wasn't an argument,' said a source.

Gollust came to CNN in 2013 when she left NBC, where she and Zucker had previously worked together for 15 years.

'It looked like she was reprimanding her husband or something,' mocked an unnamed rival news executive.

Other guests at the party included executives from major news channels and websites such as Anna Wintour, Don Lemon and Arianna Huffington.
