for someone who grew up in the 60's in america, it's a peace sign.
she's perpetually ragging because she realized soon after she finished college that a degree in education was a really, really stupid idea. Unfortunately, she has no other skills…and to attempt a career in anything else would put her at the bottom instead of as the boss over a bunch of snot nosed kids…which is the most power she will ever wield. She will live and die the rest of her life in academia…living in the Hell that is public education. I suggest that instead of quitting and traveling the world that she just kill herself and release her negative energy from our personal universe.
