Driving through big sugar owned farms yesterday and noticed many crops were killed off. I’m no farmer but looked to be a grain or snap peas, st. Augustine grass and a crop of very young big leaf plant. More than likely sprayed as much of what was growing near irrigation ditches still looked to be thriving. Were they capitalizing on the cold weather? Possibly but I know in times of freezing temperatures they will fly helicopters over crops to blow off dew preventing ice crystals from damaging the crops.

What I find interesting is palm beach county property appraisers website has cut out satellite view of non-developed land. I suspect south Florida water management district flooding lands to declare a natural wetland which renders it non-developable in the future among many other nefarious possibilities. Something I noticed that started less than two years ago, a pretty large cable dredge was viewable from state road 80 and when I looked at the map I noticed a grid of blasting holes to break up the rocks and dredge out. Looked at palm beach property appraisers site and was able to view satellite image of the land so this was altered within the last 1.75 years.
