The farmers are protesting new laws about fertilizer usage. They are cutting back on allowable fertilized areas for groundwater protection.

Farmers think the rule is bullshit, not the goal, rather they say the rules are fucked up because it doesn't protect groundwater, it just shivs the farmers.

This protest was last week.

WTF?

NEW - Thomas Müller is a German professional footballer who plays for Bundesliga club Bayern Munich and the German national team shared this message on Twitter:

"Today I want to address all athletes with this video to draw attention to a topic that nobody wants to come into contact with, but which is of great importance for medical research in this field: The German Register for Deaths in Sports."

Müller is one of the good guys, so no need to shoot the messenger. National player, club is Bayern Munich, since he was a kid. Lifer for Bayern.

The link above is in German. Quickly paraphrasing, he talks about deaths in sports, and that it's not a pleasant topic. There's always been death in sports, but to keep the scientific research up to date it is necessary to make sure the paperwork for deaths related to sports are properly processed and registered with the agency for research.

Mueller is kind of a light-hearted, friendly joker kind of a guy. Doesn't ruffle feathers. Plays. IMO, at a level well above his athletic ability because he's clever. Not controversial. He gives the message in a casual, friendly type of tone. I honestly don't know anyone else who could pull that off like he can. Thing is, this isn't your average public service announcement we're talking about.
