You're missing the sin part. WE give Satan his power. We choose sin over righteousness. Jesus came to fulfill the Law. He showed us that none of us could do it, but He could. God came to rescue us. Man elevates himself, compares himself to others, saying, "I'm not as bad as THAT guy." So, your little sin looks like righteousness compared to the deep sinner. No man is worthy of being in the presence of God. No man. Yet Jesus came to be our spokesperson. He was tempted in all things. He lived a life of poverty. He shared in our suffering. And He took on the sins of the world, and the punishment we deserve, to save us for eternity. And His grave is empty, because He ascended to the right hand of God. Name one other religious leader/founder that didn't die like the rest of us. All other faiths make you work for your salvation/next level. God said your works are like filthy rags. When God looks at the faithful believers of Jesus, even those who still sin, he doesn't see our sin. He sees His Son.
Amen, brother or sister.
