There’s a lot of history behind the iconic Iwo Jima pic Q Research uses as their OP image.

 

One of the more interesting tidbits is thatRene Gagnon was NOT in the picture.Despite lying about being in the iconic image for decades after the war, and even staring in a movie about WWII, the Marines conducted a forensic analysis of the photo and determined he wasn’t in it.

 

You guys should look into it. In due time it’ll probably go down in history as one of the more egregious examples of stolen valor this country has ever seen.

It would be one thing if he tried to live a quiet life after the war, but no, he was doing interviews, he was featured in books, going on tv, STARING IN FUCKING MOVIES!! All the while he KNEW that wasn’t him in that picture.
