Karma comes from Buddhism. It's their deal.
It came about during the Brahman period in India, where Buddhism originated.
It was added to the teachings to "explain human suffering." So instead of blaming the real oppressors, and overthrown them, the Brahmans came up with this con-job to keep the masses in line.
