These types of places, same as banks and credit card companies, are always playing these kinds of games with people's money.
I've gone round and round with customer service at banks and credit card companies. They are deceitful and manipulative. What they do is technically "legal" but unethical because they try to take advantage of people's ignorance and of their trusting nature.
