They claim that if you learn the words, you can use the power that God used.

Words do not have power except in the realm of ideas. You do not create fire by saying 'reisinger' (or whatever) properly.

Nor do objects have power as in 'Warehouse 13'. The horn is a horn. Jericho fell because God made it fall.

You are the same pagan religion as the Catholics who venerate icons, artifacts, and trinkets, imagining that they have power, when you imagine that inanimate objects have power.

The dietary law is like the old Song 'Swing on a Star'. It uses allegory to teach who should be teachers and who should not.

The clean animal meditates (ruminates) on the word of God and it produces a holy walk (split hoof).

The Pharisee thought he was Holy (split hoof) but it was not produced from the Word, but in his own imagination.

The Scribe meditated on the word but it did not produce holiness. The Scribe and Pharisee were 'unclean animals' and should not be teachers.

The swine does not discern what it learns (eats). It eats abominable things, so his 'teaching' would be abominable.
