Remember how good CGI was getting around 2012? Especially with the Transformers series but most notably the 2nd film? I think all those people were hired, extorted, forced or blackmailed to work on the CGI puppets we see now because clearly movies have gotten worse and not better since ~2012. WETA (studio that did work on LOTR) suddenly disappears out of no where?
