Do not think they are doing this for the right reasons. They are losing control of the narrative and if they give your freedom back because their "metrics" are good you have not taken it back like Canada is doing. They are keeping the narrative alive so they can do this again when it suits them and there will be less push back because of the former conditioning and past precedence.
