They have been pushing this for a few years. At least as far back as 2019 (the earliest article I can find so far). I don't like them so it effects myself not at all. It must mean something to someone though.

correction, after scrolling through 2 more pages of search results 2016 is the earliest reference I can find to avocado "shortages"

I'm not believing this at all. Gen X grew up giving authority the middle finger at all times. "Because I said so" was never reason enough to do anything they were told. They were taught to question everything. At least I was.

A smart person would not have gone to china for this event. Athletes should have boycotted this olympics, but hubris and self importance will teach them a long lasting valuable lesson. Maybe those that get to come home after the events will no longer be tooting the horn of the lefties.

Not sure, someone posted a new story about it, so I started looking into when an event like this was first reported. 2016 was the earliest I could find. Was looking for a pattern of some kind, but if there is one I couldn't see it.
