I'm really curious… I'm totally comfy but this place is meant for asking questions so here goes…
If secrecy and prior missteps of the Intelligence Community are a major part of the reason we're in this mess… doesn't that mean outsider's who have the courage to stand up to all the fuckery need to create new systems?

They were/are unfucking the system and making all information open and free… Shouldn't that be the way forward?

AI is inevitably going to pass up Human Intelligence… Shouldn't this knowledge be open and accessible to all?

I don't disagree… But is the old way working?
How do we move forward if the public isn't privy to the truth about the killing of a sitting President etc?
I totally understand the majority of people are good… But if that's the case then they should be fine with this approach right?
Obviously security is necessary and not literally everything needs to be made public but I digress.

That's a good question… Assange created WikiLeaks. Swartz created Reddit and they both had the means (intelligence/conceptual understanding of cryptography) and plenty of funding.
I guess I just wonder why these approaches can't work in the future?
