SERIOUS QUESTION:

Has there ever been a war that was won, a major-conflict ended, or a nation defended from invasion, by any means other than force/violence?

My feeling is the sentiment among the populace is one of wanting blood. They want to see pedophiles dead and corrupt traitors executed. This board, and others, take the approach of sharing information and refraining from any force or violence.

Are there any examples of a war that was won, a major-conflict ended, or a nation defended from invasion, where violence/force was not used???

I'm all ears… I just think if you are going to commit to a course of action in defense of your nation, you should have some examples of your strategy's effectiveness, or at least be able to clearly articulate how an unproven strategy can guarantee victory.
