Religion is literally "magical thinking". Anyone can put on a nice suit and perform magic for money. If you perform magic for "god" then you get a tax exemption. No amount of magical thinking will make you immortal, contrary to the promises of your jewish guide to performing magic.

It's not "just the Protestants", Anon. It's the whole idea of the entire population of the world being "required" to follow the heresay of an Iron Age band of desert nomads.

"The word of God" never existed. It wasn't corrupted, it was created by tribal leaders and continuously modified with the times to suit their purposes of control and power.

The voice of "god" that talks to you, in your head, tells you different things than "he" tells others, and that's okay. Religion tries to command homogenity under a single set of cult precepts, which is inherently divisive and unrespecting of individual choice. Religion removes free will by insisting that one man should enact punishment on another, on behalf of some all powerful and all knowing being, to please "him", for choosing free-will.

"The Law" allows evil to be done, in the name of "God" thereby turning Evil into Good. Like destroying the property of homeless people is okay, because they "made bad choices" and obviously "god" is displeased with them, and because some "Holy" authority from the government said it was okay. Even though it is the work of evil people to destroy the property of others, especially the least among us. D
