I fully support saying the Lord's Prayer, but I also believe that God wants you to pray from your heart. So basically carry on a conversation with him in everyday language and tell him your troubles, worries, hopes, and dreams. I was taught that prayer should consist of thanks, adoration, contrition, and requests, but those seem so limiting when viewed in a personal way.
