I had an argument once with a fellow worker. He was a very dear friend, still is. But he was an athiest. Funny though, he was married to a Christian woman. So even though he didn't believe in God he would always use God's name in vane. We worked together a lot so I was always hearing him saying GD. So one day I said to him Why is it that even though you don't believe in God you still believe that God damns things? He laughed and couldn't answer me. I asked him to say devil damn it instead. I said at least, even though you don't believe in the devil, you will be more accurate and you won't be piercing the hearts of those that not only believe in God but have a very loving and treasured relationship with Him, worshipped actually! I said He is my Heavenly Father, my Daddy and I love Him with all my mind, heart and soul. So to hear you say that day after day after day, knowing you don't even believe in His existance, you know, can ya stop? He said yeah sure!
I love him and pray for him always to one day turn to God. One of our co-workers (dear to both of us) did, he had Leukemia and managed to get married to the love of his life and have time with her before he died. He had asked for 6 months with her, that's what he had prayed for. God gave him seven. I said, see he's letting you know you can ask for more, but his believing only took him so far. He was a mensa member, brightest man I've ever met. So glad that I will be seeing him again and forever! Praying my other friend will also join us!
