What is stopping bit coin from just releasing multiple generations. As the blockchain algorithm gets old the production rate of coins drops drastically. At this point why not issue bitcoin 2 a completely differently valued coin that appreciates as the first. Once the production rate drops below the liquidity requirements of the system, Bitcoin 3 could be released….yes we will have multiple currencies of varying values but effectively can create stores of digital wealth in the more ancient models and constantly supply new updates for liquidity reasons. Completely decentralized and completely fluid and can also maintain value. Other that being erasable as it is digital it’s pretty awesome idea.
