NOREX is an annual event, made from different Canadian Military bases throughout Canada. In 2018, 235 members deployed on this exercise are from the 4th Canadian Division, located in Ontario. These soldiers will be able to sharpen their survival, mobility, winter warfare skills and sustainability skills all in a harsh winter climate.

The purpose of NOREX 18 is to maintain an Arctic response capability and is designed to ensure Canadian Army personnel have the ability to move, communicate, and command under harsh weather conditions, and in remote locations.

Particular units taking part in this year’s NOREX are: 31 Canadian Brigade Group, headquartered in London, ON; 2 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group, headquartered in Petawawa, ON; and the 1st Canadian Ranger Patrol Group, headquartered in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.

“This challenging exercise is an incredible opportunity for our soldiers to test their survivability, mobility, and sustainability in Canada’s Arctic, while ensuring we can provide support and operate when and where Canadians require us,” said LCol. Perry Rittershofer, NOREX 18 Exercise Director.

"Slow Roll" Part 2 of the Freedom Convoy 2022.

This morning Pat King and many other vehicles, cars and vans, slow rolled through the Arrivals and Departure lanes of the Ottawa International Airport. There were enough vehicles to have no spaces left between the beginning and the end, accomplishing a constant stream of vehicle circling the loop. They stayed for a bout 2.5 hours, regrouped at the Coventry Depot and rolled out on Highway 417, a major highway that circumvents the City of Ottawa, providing access to the eastern and western Provinces.

The intent of this slow roll was to fill up two of the three lanes in both east and west bound lanes.

Absolutely! Students were doing in in Edmonton a couple of days ago! We need way more students to stand up and walk out. AND then parents to demand the schools get their funding cut until they drop the mandates!
