There's more than one "Peter Pan' book

The original was "Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens" Where he's alone - that I remember.

In the Wiki summary of the book, (see link I made above) they say he met a girl on the island, but she had to go home. (like "Wendy" in the later book / Broadway musical) her name was "Mari" or something in the original.
