Appears Charles Schwab purchased TD Ameritrade in 2020 (had to look it up since it's been a while.)

It was always a separate company from "TD Bank" proper. But … not really in practice. Some abstraction but only in pretend.

Angriest most retarded people I ever worked with. Looking back on it now, they were rotten to the core.

My apologies if I miswrote… that's really interesting news. I would suppose then that would mean the liabilities are still held by TD as well… They do seem to suggest it was a done deal.

"Effective upon the merger, Todd M. Ricketts, Brian M. Levitt and Bharat B. Masrani were elected to Schwab's board. Mr. Ricketts was designated by TD Ameritrade pursuant to the terms of the merger agreement and Messrs. Levitt and Masrani were designated by TD Bank pursuant to the terms of the merger agreement and the stockholder agreement between Schwab and TD Bank. "

Very interesting…. seems more like a quasi-merger of TD Bank proper and Schwab. TD CEO now on the board of Schwab. Same club.
