TD Bank to turn over Freedom Convoy funds to Government.

You know what to do! TD operates in the US as well, as a bank and a brokerage (TDAmeritrade).

I'll be closing both of ours on Monday when the banks open again.

We have two credit union accounts that have been great, they are local, and easy to work with. I had a bigger bank mainly for stuff like foreign currency exchange etc that my credit union doesn't do.

I like the Think Swim platform at TD Ameritrade but there are many others out there. Anyone have any ideas for another brokerage that has a trading platform that is easy to use?

I don't know if that sale has been concluded.

USAA sold their brokerage business to Schwab, and we had a whole bunch of notifications and request to set up new user names, PWs etc when the sale was completed and accounts had been transferred.

We got a notice that the sale was pending, but have received no similar emails. The emails I still get are from "TD Ameritrade", so it would seem that the funds are still held by TD, not Schwab.

That could mess up the finalization of the sale as well, if the amount on the books gets decimated by mass closures of TD Ameritrade accounts before the sale and transfer of accounts is finalized.

Yes.

And GSG was sending the money to the Freedom Convoy's non profit account, which apparently was at TD Bank.

They are looking at other workarounds including crypto to get those funds to the Truckers.
