Can we trust the Dem reversal of masks and mandates? NO WAY IN HELL!

As we approach day 673 of "14 days to slow the spread," it seems the left is finally coming around to the position that most conservatives have held for the past two years.

Following a few weeks of tentative support for less draconian mask mandates from mainstream media outlets and a massive Freedom Convoy of truck drivers in Canada who have simply had enough, blue states like New York, California, Virginia, and Massachusetts are beginning to ditch the mask mandates.

While they should be encouraged to continue ending the mask mandates (especially in schools) along with coerced vaccinations, it would be wise to note that the inspiration is not based on some new scientific discovery that the masks don't work.

They have no intention of giving up this position permanently. CNN's Wolf Blitzer spoke with the outlet's medical analyst, Dr. Leana Wen, where she called for the end of mask mandates in order to "preserve the ability of public health authorities to reinstitute mandates in the future" the next time a new variant is discovered.

Health officials have irreparably damaged their reputations and positions of public trust. Just because they backpedal now does not mean that anyone should start trusting them again. They did not suddenly become political pawns during the coronavirus situation. The mask of "apolitical scientist" was just removed, revealing what they always were: unaccountable leftist partisans.

Their policies already have had an irreversible negative impact on children in schools, setting many kids back and even causing speech developmental problems in young kids. Data have always shown that children are the least at risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19. Actions by our governments and school administrators have always been politically motivated, and they cannot be let off the hook for that.

Homeschooling has jumped from 5.4 percent to 11.1 percent, and this is a very good start. Just as we should no longer put our full faith and trust in "the experts" in government departments of health, we should also remain skeptical of public schools and their motives. The pandemic gave parents a unique opportunity to see what schools are teaching their kids, and what they found was segregationist-style racial politics and extreme liberal sex and gender theory.

To prevent this from happening again, there are a few steps the average person can take.

First is to hold your representatives accountable. Boot out those who supported the draconian mandates. Put pressure on even those who have already relented to continue rolling back their overreach.

Second is to ask candidates running for office in 2022 and beyond tough questions about where they stand on issues like masking and coerced vaccination, and what they plan on doing about it.

In terms of our unelected officials, Dr. Fauci has been particularly egregious with his misleading of the public and murky background as the leader of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, with some evidence pointing to him having a direct role in the funding of gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Daily Wire commentator Michael Knowles recently presented a method to hold Fauci accountable: the "Michael Knowles Federal Public Health Protection Pledge" — a pledge that candidates can sign that solidifies their commitment to vote to subpoena Fauci for his role in the pandemic and vote for legislation that would reduce his salary to zero.

Any candidate who balks at the idea of holding Fauci and others accountable for the damage to this country is an unserious candidate who should be ignored in favor of another who will, whether by a pledge like described above, or other tangible results-oriented means. Words alone are not enough.

I repeat: do not forget that these people have been revealed as tyrants for the past two years. They leveraged their positions of trust to gain power and by all indications appear willing and eager to do it all again when it suits them next. The media will once again help them do it. Only "We the People" can stop it.

Ontario government tries to criminalize giving money to the striking truckers

The polite land of Canada is revealing itself in a way I never expected to see in my lifetime: the ordinary people, still polite, are willing to mount the biggest anti-COVID tyranny protest in the world while many of the politicians, including Justin Trudeau, are proving to be stone-cold totalitarians. The latest effort to destroy the truckers comes from Ontario, where Doug Ford's government managed to get a court to rule that it's illegal to give millions in donations to the truckers' convoy. This probably won't end well…for the government.

To catch you up on events, Trudeau has imposed some of the strictest COVID restrictions in the free world on Canada. For two years, they've been quarantined, isolated, barred from worship, their businesses destroyed, and bullied into taking experimental vaccines of dubious efficacy but with known, and serious, side-effects. And throughout those two years, as in America, the white-collar class that obsesses about diversity and transgenderism has spent the time comfortably at home, working away at their computers, while the working classes have pretty much seen their livelihoods and lives destroyed.

Amongst the hardest hit in Canada has been the truckers. When COVID was still new and scary, they kept working, keeping Canadians supplied with both necessities and luxuries, all to seal-like claps of applause from the monied classes, including Trudeau himself. Added to that fear was the fact that truck driving is an extremely hard job, one that is lonely, physically taxing, often dangerous, and poorly compensated. But still, they did it.

However, when Trudeau announced that truckers would have to show their vaccine passports to return to their own country when carrying goods between the U.S. and Canada, that was the straw that broke the trucker camels' backs. Although most are vaccinated, this final indignity was too much. The truckers began their epic convoy, which captured the imagination of those in the world yearning to be free of despotic politicians and bureaucrats.

Trudeau's first response (of course) was to run away. That's what tyrants usually do, or try to do, when their people finally push back (e.g., Saddam Hussein, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, Idi Amin, and Ashraf Ghani). Then, without any proof, he painted the truckers as racist haters because that's always the left's fallback. Since then, Trudeau has refused to speak to the truckers, preferring instead to keep calling them names.

This is the kind of thing that creates a huge opening for Bitcoin, a currency over which the Canadian government has no control. I don't know if GiveSendGo and the truckers will go that route, but it's possible.

The biggest problem is the government's: arresting the truckers will not make the trucks go away. You need truckers to do that. Slashing the tires, as one CNN analyst suggested, won't make them go away, either, especially on the bridge separating Canada from Detroit. Likewise, robbing truckers of gas won't make them go away. I wouldn't be surprised if private citizens aren't spiriting cold truckers to their homes, just as good people have hidden warriors against tyranny since time immemorial.

Madison Cawthorn, who serves in the U.S. House of Representatives for North Carolina’s 11th congressional district, filed suit in federal court against the members of the North Carolina State Board of Elections over what he deems an unconstitutional attempt to disqualify him for reelection.

Recently, a group of Challengers filed a complaint with the NCSBE attempting to disqualify him from reelection. They alleged that Cawthorn “does not meet the federal constitutional requirements for a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives and is therefore ineligible to be a candidate for such office.”

The Cawthorn Challenge was based upon claims that Cawthorn engaged in “insurrection or rebellion” against the United States on January 6th and was, therefore, not qualified to be a Member of Congress under the U.S. Constitution. Cawthorn vigorously denies that he “engaged in insurrection or rebellion” against the United States, and this suit seeks to enjoin the NCSBE from employing unconstitutional provisions of North Carolina election law to remove him from the ballot as a Candidate.

Dire new numbers for quickly dwindling Chicago police force released…new trend for all demshit

One of the departments that is showing the toll of all those factors is the CPD, as the recently released figures show the stark numbers of all that attrition: 900 officers lost in one year, with only 247 police academy graduates to replace them, according to an investigation by WGN9. From 13,000 officers in 2018, the department now has 11,845, while still having to service the same Chicago metro area, which has grown from 8,864,000 to 8,901,000 in that same period.

These numbers also do not point to the true toll of what was lost, since many of those were veteran officers with years of experience, whereas the incoming 247 officers are all fresh graduates without prior experience.

Most of these cops leaving the CPD have gone to smaller, suburban police forces, which now have the luxury of hiring a plethora of veteran cops who didn’t cost these smaller locales a dime to train at the academy (a police recruit is typically sponsored into a state police academy by a particular police department, which foots the bill).

Speaking in late 2021, Oak Brook Police Chief James Kruger commented on the lack of support that officers are feeling and how it fuels the exodus:

“I think it has more to do with support and really a feeling of being able to do the job.”

“There is a mass exodus,” agreed John Catanzara, president of the Fraternal Order of Police.

All this has had a predictable effect on crime, which has been steadily rising in the Windy City.

“When you look at it, it’s a recipe for disaster. And that’s what we’re seeing right now. It is why crime is escalating in the city of Chicago.” Alderman Anthony Beale (9th Ward) told WGN9 in October, as the full weight of the losses was being felt.

The city’s response to the increase in violent crime has largely been to plead with the feds, rather than do things to increase police hires and retention. Mayor Lori Lightfoot hasn’t backed down from her focus on the “root causes” of crime, which typically amounts to blaming racism and poverty without doing much. Lightfoot has, however, come around to criticizing lower courts for repeatedly re-releasing criminals back onto the streets, joining other city officials (but not “reformer” district attorneys) in complaining that many judges are too lenient with violent offenders.

Since there has been no plan put forward to actually rectify the attrition rate of officers in the CPD, it is unlikely that the situation will improve in the foreseeable future.

Times are looking tough for the officers of the Chicago Police Department (CPD), after the shocking number of officer retentions became public.

It hasn’t been easy for demonized police forces throughout the country, subject to abuse from their own officials and facing calls for defunding, as well as the frustration of being told not to prosecute crimes or even make arrests, even for repeat offenders. Vaccine mandates continue to be a contentious issue, with notable numbers of officers choosing to quit rather than comply with the mandate.
