What about having no particular set banner, but instead a standard set of guidelines for creating banners such as you listed? An agreed upon guideline keeps the banners in line with requirements and sentiments while still allowing the creativity of anons to shine.
I've been really enjoying seeing all the different banners being posted lately. Some I do not think are appropriate to use when baking, but all are awesome in their own ways.
