According to senior Fatah, Mahmoud Abass's condition is critical. This is not new, the guy is 82 years old and he is an inveterate smoker. His physical or political disappearance will however start a fierce struggle for power.

However, all the claimants who took a position on the starting block to succeed Mahmoud Abass ultimately run either directly for Israel, or for KSA or the United Arab Emirates, which inevitably ends up with Uncle Netanyahu.

After stay in the hospital, Abass has the pretext of looking and waiting to finally take a well-deserved retirement, most probably in Egypt. The favorite candidate for this estate for Mossad, Sissi, MBZ and MBS (if it is still operational), was Dahlan.

Dahlan has the advantage of completely lacking moral conscience and pity for his people. If tomorrow his sponsors ordered him to liquidate a thousand Palestinians who resist Israeli phagocytosis, he would not hesitate for a second.

The other favorite of the Israelis is the current chief of intelligence and security of Mahmoud Abass, the double agent par excellence who coordinates closely with Shabak and other Israeli secret services to smother any resistance in the bud. .

Abass is of course trying to cash in on the designation of his replacement. The problem for all his people there who are planning on the comet is that the war of independence has really taken off. It's irreversible and dramatic for Israel

Abbas's Death Could Start A War of Succession

Very possible. You'd be looking at Israel's neighbor in a state of war. What excuse would be made to invade? Or at least send in "Peacekeepers"? Let alone the opportunity to set up a puppet leader for Israel. Abbas's death could start a Middle Eastern War and we Americans would be dragged into it.
