The gold which was left behind

IIRC, we touched on renovations a while back and it had to do with the companies doing the work. Not sure if this is the substance but here's a flashback.

The current makeover of the People's House was approved in 2014 under President Barack Obama, a White House spokesperson told Town & Country. But it's not purely cosmetic: In addition to swapping out some of the curtains and wall colors, construction workers will fix ceiling leaks, do a power wash and repair staircases.

Now here's POTUS response and it is golden…

https://www.townandcountrymag.com/society/politics/a10366986/trump-white-house-renovation-details/

The White House's extensive renovation took place while Trump spent 17 days at his Bedminster golf club in August and was conducted by a team of more than 200 workers. Updates included replacing the 27-year-old heating and cooling system, refreshing the paint and carpets throughout offices, and meeting rooms and hanging Trump-approved wallpaper in the Oval Office.

The president was especially pleased with the work in the dining room. "We found gold behind the walls, which I always knew. Renovations are grand," he told Time, adding that the project was completed in two days. "Remember how hard they worked? They wanted to make me happy."

Working on it while at the golf club and they found gold behind the walls, telling the story and who was listening.

size reduction and all with electronics these days, how hard would it have been to set up something like a NARUS STA (for example) and split the feed at the source rather than going through the boxes elsewhere and risk tipping someone off who may be a liability later?

As Board Chair of When We All Vote, a national, nonpartisan, non-profit that brings together citizens, institutions, brands, and organizations to increase participation in every election, I believe there are immediate steps we can take. Expanding vote-by-mail, restoring the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, and investing in poll workers and election equipment are some of these essential priorities, but at its core, the culture around voting must also change to be more inclusive. Especially in this new abnormal, voters in the greatest democracy on earth should not be saddled with the false choice between voting or protecting their family’s health.
