I lived there. My sister was in trouble with the law (financial) and her kids were put in foster care by CPS. My wife and I wanted to take them, and the kids wanted us to. The foster family was mormon. They asked if we would bring the kids to the mormon church, and I said no. Afterwards, suddenly CPS says the kids are afraid of me (ever seen a kid afraid of someone jump up in their arms and neck hug?) and wrote a letter saying so, only it wasn't written by them.

Later when my sister got out, she tried to get them back. A judge ordered they be given back. Suddenly the judge is changed and a new judge overrides Him and she loses them permanently.

The kids are now adults, and it turns out were abused by the foster father.

No, it's called laying down your life for those you love.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your mind and all your soul. This is the first and greatest commandment. The second is like it, love your neighbor as yourself. ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS HANG ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS.

Stand in front of a mirror and pretend to put your arm around a neighbor you love on each side, what do you see?
