Past Hillary Clinton tweets loom amid accusations her campaign paid to spy on Trump
WASHINGTON (TND) ā A motion filed by Special Counsel John Durham alleges Hillary Clintonās campaign paid a technology company to dig for evidence to build a ānarrativeā tying then-candidate Donald Trump to Russia in the run up to the 2016 election. Durham filed the motion Friday, which focused on potential conflicts of interest stemming from Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann. Sussman was indicted by a grand jury in September, accused of āmaking false statements to the FBI in 2016 regarding alleged communicationsā between the Trump organization and a Russian bank tied to the Kremlin known as Alfa Bank. The Clinton campaign lawyer was accused of representing himself "as a good citizen rather than a paid advocate or political operative" when approaching the FBI about a tip on Trumpās alleged links to Russia. Sussmann has pleaded not guilty, according to The New York Post. Durham's āfactual backgroundā section in his motion says Sussmann āassembled and conveyed the allegations to the FBI on behalf of at least two specific clients, including a technology executive (Tech Executive-1) at a U.S.-based internet company, and the Clinton campaign. The filing also points out Sussmannās ābilling records reflect that the defendant repeatedly billed the Clinton Campaign for his workā on the Trump-Russia bank allegations.
Sussmann allegedly told the FBI in a meeting less than two months before the 2016 presidential election, during which he presented āpurported data and 'white papers' that allegedly demonstrated a covert communications channel between the Trump Organization and a Russia-based bank,ā that he was not doing work āfor any client.ā In the process of compiling and disseminating the allegations against Trump, Sussmann and āTech Executive-1ā, who he was working with, allegedly met and communicated with another attorney serving as General Counsel to the Clinton campaign. Sources reportedly told Fox News that the attorney Sussmann and "Tech Executive-1" met was Marc Elias of the law firm Perkins Coie. The National Desk reached out to Perkins Coie for comment on the allegations but did not hear back prior to publication. If received, this story will be updated with the firmās comments. Durhamās filing also accuses "Tech Executive-1" of working with Sussmann, a U.S. investigative firm retained on behalf of the Clinton Campaign, numerous cyber researchers, and employees at multiple internet companies to assemble the purported data and white papers.
āIn connection with these efforts, Tech Executive-1 exploited his access to non-public and/or proprietary Internet data,ā according to Durhamās Friday filing. āTech Executive-1 tasked these researchers to mine Internet data to establish āan inferenceā and ānarrativeā tying then-candidate Trump to Russia,ā the filing continued. Durham also wrote in his filing that evidence at trial will establish that among the data mined on behalf of the Clinton campaign was ādomain name system Internet traffic pertaining to (i) a particular healthcare provider, (ii) Trump Tower, (iii) Donald Trump's Central Park West apartment building, and (iv) the Executive Office of the President of the United States (EOP).ā Durham accused Tech Executive-1ās employer of accessing and maintaining ādedicated serversā for the EOP as āpart of a sensitive arrangement whereby it provided DNS resolution services to the EOP.ā
Opinions concerning Special Counsel Durhamās investigation seemingly fall into one of two camps, arguing either that he is doing a good job or that he is engaging in selective prosecution. Kash Patel, who aided the House Intelligence Committeeās investigation looking into unscrupulous and unlawful activity related to the Trump-Russia probe, reportedly told Fox News the filing ādefinitively shows that the Hillary Clinton campaign directly funded and ordered its lawyers at Perkins Coie to orchestrate a criminal enterprise to fabricate a connection between President Trump and Russia.ā Critics of the Trump-Russia probe, like Patel, argue tweets from days before the 2016 election by then-candidate Hillary Clinton back up their accusations.

Remains of Brian Laundrie, Gabby Petitoās fiancĆ©, showed animals were āgnawing and chewingā on his body
Feb 14, 2022
A medical examinerās report indicates the bones of Brian Laundrie ā the only person of interest in the homicide of travel blogger Gabby Petito ā were gnawed on by animals after the 23-year-old Florida man shot himself in the head in October 2021. āMultiple long bones including bones of the arms and legs all disclose carnivore predation activity characterized by gnawing and chewing,ā the 47-page autopsy report by the Sarasota, Fla., medical examiner released Monday said. āThe cranium is in multiple pieces and fragmentsā¦ā The report also said Laundrie died from a gunshot wound to the head. A handgun was found near Laundrieās body at the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park. āThe cylinder contained two live rounds and one spent round of ammunition,ā the full autopsy report said. Laundrieās skeletal remains were found in the wooded area in the Carlton Reserve in Sarasota County in October and had been under āup to 3 feetā of water for a long time.
The bullet entered through Laundrieās left temple. He did not appear to be under the influence of any intoxicants at the time of his death. Also reportedly found along with Laundrieās remains were a journal, a wooden box containing photographs and a notebook, as well as a āhandwritten half-note.ā The contents of the note are unclear. The FBI said in January that Laundrie had written about Petitoās homicide. A Wyoming coroner found strangulation was her cause of death. Laundrie was named a āperson of interestā in the disappearance of his 22-year-old former girlfriend, after Petitoās family reported her missing on Sept. 11, 2020, while on a cross-country roadtrip with her longtime beau. Laundrie had returned to Florida without her 10 days prior. His parents reported him missing Sept. 17 causing law enforcement to extend its search to include both travelers. On Sept. 19, Petitoās body was recovered in a Wyoming camping area. On Oct. 21, investigators confirmed Laundrieās remains had been found.
