This has been going on for a while. Used to work for a guy in one of the mid-Atlantic states of and on between 2017-2020 who was always shipping loads of the product he manufactured in his shop up and down the East Coast. And, I never saw a single driver from the US show up for the load. Seemed to be mostly Eastern Europeans. Shipping was definitely one of the biggest headaches of his operation. He ran a real tight ship all around, and would literally melt down over the trucker situation all the time. It was simply out of his control. Can’t imagine what it must be like at this point.
Interesting article out of NC today. Not that the need hasn’t been present until now. But, is this some foreshadowing of an increased need as Dark comes to Light?
