Maybe the KJV is heavily edited, but the whole thing made up? That strikes me as highly doubtful.
Am a philosophy and theology fag, by training and interest. Maybe the literal bs interpretations and how the bible is approached is made up and false (I would agree that it is). But that the book is made up is bullshit of an astounding quality.
no issue at all with joseph and Imhotep. Or even noah and Gilgamesh or the long lived ancestors of noah and the early Sumerian king lists.
Again even if that is all true it is the hermeneutics that are fucked up and not necessarily the text itself.
It is simply not the case that pre-Abrahamic biblical characters trace back to egyptian pharaohs. Sumerian perhaps, Egyptian hardly.
