Biden mocked for story about leaving dead dog on woman's doorstep

President Joe Biden was slammed on Twitter this week after telling a story about placing a dead dog on a Republican woman's doorstep.

"And I represented a middle-class district to a working-class district, but there was one very wealthy neighborhood," Biden told the National Association of Counties conference on Tuesday referencing the time he spent on the New Castle County Council in the 1970s. "I got a call one night; the woman said to me — obviously not of the same persuasion as I was, politically — called me and said, ‘There’s a dead dog on my lawn.’"

"And I said, 'Yes, ma'am.' I said, 'Have you called county?' She said, 'Yes, they’re not here,'" Biden continued. "I said, 'Well, I'll get them in the morning.' She said, 'I want it removed now. I pay your salary.’ So, I went over. I picked it up. She said, 'I want it out of my front yard.' I put it on her doorstep."

Biden’s comment received laughter and applause at which point Biden explained that he has "gotten much better since then."

Sureño gang member arrested near Laredo College South Campus

A Sureño gang member was arrested while entering the country illegally near Laredo College South Campus, according to the U.S. Border Patrol.

During the early hours of Feb. 13, Laredo South Station agents apprehended two migrants near LC South Campus. One migrant was identified as Pedro Heriberto Reyes-Alvarado, a 34-year-old Mexican national.

A records check revealed that Reyes-Alvarado is an active Sureño gang member with an extensive criminal history that included charges for unlawful carrying of a weapon, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, evading arrest with a vehicle and a prior conviction for human smuggling in Laredo in August 2013.

Florida woman accused of using COVID-relief loan to hire hitman charged in TSA agent's murder: reports

A Florida woman allegedly used coronavirus relief funds from the Paycheck Protection Program to hire a hitman accused of killing a Transportation Security Administration officer outside Miami last year, according to newly unsealed court documents obtained by local media.

Jasmine D. Martinez, 33, is in custody in St. Lucie County on charges of first-degree murder, attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder, jail records show. She’s expected to be transferred to Miami-Dade custody.

Javon Carter and Romiel Robinson are already jailed there on a slew of related charges.

Charges against Carter, an ex-con and the alleged shooter, include first-degree murder with a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm by a violent career criminal.

Robinson was already in custody on other charges, including resisting arrest, burglary, carrying a firearm without a serial number, armed robbery, drug trafficking and many more.

All three are being held without bond, jail records show.
