As a military vet, I honestly feel pleased when I see people wearing the colors of our flag. It tells me patriotism is still alive and well in our country. I do not however, condone someone cutting up a real flag to make clothing out of it.
I do not condone taking a knee during the anthem either. I am not offended by people brandishing our colors. Most of them do not know any better and it does us little good to be offended if they mean well.
I am not offended by this. I'd proudly lay her down on that flag and give it to her for glory.
I cannot be offended because some old document tells me I should be. Disrespect to the flag is one thing. I see no intent to disrespect it here, whether it's proper protocol or not.
