Hours Before Parliamentary Vote, Tyrant Trudeau Demands Emergencies Act Remains in Place – Claims Any MP Who Votes Against Him is Against “Democracy”

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that he will not revoke the Emergencies Act, opting instead to allow the Canadian Parliament to proceed with tonight’s vote that will decide if the Act will remain in place.

Flanked by members of his cabinet, Trudeau held a press conference on Monday morning to tell Canadians the “state of emergency is not over,” adding that, despite the freedom protesters being cleared from downtown Ottawa, he needs his emergency powers to remain in effect in order to prevent future protests that could pop up.

“The Emergencies Act is not something to undertake lightly. It’s something that needs to be momentary, temporary, and proportional. We’re reflecting on how much longer the emergencies act needs to be in place. We don’t want to keep it in place a single day longer than necessary, but even though the blockades are lifted across border openings right now, even though things seem to be resolving very well in Ottawa, this state of emergency is not over.”

n his last-minute plea to the MPs, Trudeau called the emergencies act, which allowed the tinpot tyrant to send his goons to beat peaceful protesters in the street at random, “necessary” and “the responsible thing to do,” as he implored them to vote to uphold its use.

“For the past few days, parliamentarians have been debating the emergencies act and will be voting on it tonight. I ask all members of parliament to take action against the illegal blockades and to stand up for public safety and the freedom of Canadians. Invoking the emergencies act has been necessary.

Law enforcement agencies relied on it to set up secured areas in downtown Ottawa and at border crossings. It prevented foreign money from continuing to fund illegal blockades and it’s making sure our borders remain open it has been the responsible thing to do.”

Trudeau said that he is “confident” the parliament will uphold his use of the act but also predictably slandered the members who will vote to revoke it. He baselessly claimed that any elected official who votes against him is standing in the way of “our democracy” and “doesn’t trust the government.”

“I can’t imagine that anyone who votes no tonight is doing anything other than indicating that they don’t trust the government to make incredibly momentous and important decisions at a very difficult time. But like I said, I am confident that the majority of parliamentarians will stand up to support our values, stand up to support our democracy, and stand up to support their fellow Canadians.”

Kamala Harris Warns Americans of Higher Energy Costs if Russia Invades Ukraine

Vice President Kamala Harris acknowledged Americans would face higher energy costs in the event of Russian President Vladimir Putin sending troops into the Ukraine, citing the punishing sanctions prepared for when it happened.

“When America stands for her principles and all of the things that we hold dear, it requires sometimes for us to put ourselves out there in a way that maybe we will incur some cost,” Harris explained to American reporters on Sunday, after meeting with European leaders about the Russian threat to Ukraine.

The expectation of higher costs for energy was first previewed by President Joe Biden last week as he prepared Americans for the economic impact of his sanctions against Russia.

“I will not pretend this will be painless,” Biden said on Wednesday. “There could be impact on our energy prices.”

In 2021, America imported an average of 202,000 barrels of crude oil per day, the highest amount in 11 years. The United States is even importing more oil from Russia than Saudi Arabia.

White House advisers on Friday conceded there would be an economic cost to holding Russia accountable when they invaded Ukraine.

“Policy involves trade-offs,” Deputy National Security Advisor Daleep Singh admitted during a press briefing at the White House. “And the President said this week he’s not going to pretend that this is all painless.”

Singh urged Americans to realize the sacrifice of higher prices for energy and other goods was for the sake of democracy around the world.

“Think if Russia’s aggression in the heart of Europe went unchecked,” he said, previewing Putin’s action as “possibly the largest land invasion in the post-Cold War era.”

Singh continued:

Think of the uncertainties that would cause. Think of the chilling effect that would cause across the European continent. Think of the questions that will be asked about which other countries could be bullied by an autocrat looking to exert a sphere of influence. Those are costs we’re not willing to tolerate.

Biden and White House officials have repeated that administration officials are looking at ways to ease the burden of higher sanctions, but have not offered any details.

Some Democrat members of Congress have signaled support for temporarily lifting the gas tax, but the White House has not offered support for the idea.

“Well, we’ve said every option is on the table, including that,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters on Friday when asked about lifting the gas tax. “But a decision has not been made.”

Europe, US Preparing To Impose Sanctions On Russia

Now that Putin has officially recognized the separatists regions of Donetsk and Luhansk as independent, sovereign states, warning that from this moment onward, Ukraine must halt all military actions against Donbas, or whatever happens next will be on them and the West, it was only a matter of time before Europe (and the West) retaliated with progressively escalating sanctions.

Sure enough, the ink wasn't quite dry yet on Putin's signature, when the EU's high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, Josep Borrell Fontelles tweeted that "the recognition of the two separatist territories in Ukraine is a blatant violation of international law, the territorial integrity of Ukraine and the Minsk agreements" adding that "The EU and its partners will react with unity, firmness and with determination in solidarity with Ukraine."

Others chimed in, led by the Latvian foreign minister who said the EU must immediately impose sanctions on Russia after it recognized the separatist regions, while moments later the Polish prime minister said that Russia's decision is an act of aggression on Ukraine, and that sanctions should be imposed immediately.

In a kneejerk response, European Commission president von der Leyen confirmed that the union will react with sanctions against Russia's recognition of independence of the Ukraine regions, which is a blatant violation of international law as well as the Minsk agreements.

UK foreign minister Truss was also quick to note that Putin's action signals the end of the Minsk process and violates the UN charter, noting that Russia has decided to choose confrontation over dialogue.

NATO president Stoltenberg joined the chorus condemning Russia's decision to recognize the independence of the Ukraine rebel regions.

Pfizer Partnered With Wuhan-Linked Chinese Company Supplying ‘Military Combat’ Efforts.

To broaden its market access in China, Pfizer Inc. partnered with a military-linked Chinese pharmaceutical firm, The National Pulse can reveal.

Pfizer signed a memorandum of understanding with Shanghai Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. in April of 2011, which set up “for the companies to jointly pursue potential business opportunities in China.”

“The potential partnership is intended to leverage both companies’ strengths,” explained a company press release, adding the deal would be “matching Pfizer’s global capabilities in developing innovative medicines with Shanghai Pharmaceutical’s capabilities and reach in the China market.”

“The companies plan to explore future cooperation opportunities, including further distribution and commercialization, research and development activities, manufacturing and equity investment opportunities.”

Shanghai Pharmaceuticals, however, has supported the “military combat” efforts of China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and partnered with universities funded by the PLA.

These unearthed links exacerbate the fact that the company is subject to Article 7 of China’s National Intelligence Law, which mandates that “any [Chinese] organization or citizen shall support, assist, and cooperate with state intelligence work.”

An unearthed “Corporate Social Responsibility Report” from 2020 reveals the Chinese pharmaceutical firm’s longstanding collaborations with the regime’s PLA. As early as 2007, Shanghai Pharmaceuticals had “organize[d] and implement[ed] drug storage on behalf of the military combat” worth roughly $2.4 million:

In addition, since 2007, the Company has begun to organize and implement drug storage on behalf of the military combat. The amount was more than RMB15 million, and Shanghai Pharma was the storage enterprise while other subsidiaries acted as emergency units. It is now the East China region (shanghai) drug security mobilization center.

NSW Labor leader’s China trip funded by exiled billionaire Huang Xiangmo

New South Wales Labor leader Chris Minns has revealed a 2015 trip to Hong Kong and China was funded by exiled Chinese billionaire Huang Xiangmo.

Mr Huang’s visa was cancelled by ASIO in 2019 amidst claims he was seeking to influence Australian politics on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party.

The billionaire property developer donated at least $2.7 million to both major political parties during his time in the country.

Mr Minns defended his decision not to declare who funded the trip at the time because he had not officially been sworn in as a member of parliament.
