OSHA RADICAL RE-WRITE of policy on worker Adverse Events related to employer forced/coerced vaccination. This happened sometime in last two weeks since May 9 when I posted what was then rational policy protecting workers in this area. I’ll show the new vs. old. Disappointing.

New policy (OSHA FAQs).

• Does not want appearance of …disincentivizing employers vaccination “efforts”

• Will not enforce 29 CFR 1904’s reporting requirements

• Will not require employers to record “side effects”

• Will reevaluate in one year (May 2022)

Old policy (OSHA FAQs).

Two weeks ago (9 May 2021), the FAQ included 3 Q&A items providing protections for workers who have Adverse Events after being forced/coerced into the vaccine as a condition of employment. All three items have been disappeared.

My opinion, OSHA should not be in the business of protecting political “appearances” of either side of debated government policy, but rather protecting workers from uninvited harm resulting from employer action pressuring workers outside their will. But there it is.

OSHA reports to Department of Labor. DOL Secretary Marty Walsh assumed office March 23. Prior, he was Boston Mayor, where he showed his vaccine zeal in a controversial manner, as the Boston Herald termed “cutting in line.” Far from neutral on this issue.
