US Defense Department is mulling a request to send the National Guard to the nation's capital to help police an incoming group of truckers
The truckers are heading to DC to protest government mandates, including vaccine requirements, as part of a trend started by Canadian drivers last month
It's not clear how many long haulers will participate in the US demonstration, but some expect there to be thousands of truckers in DC
The Pentagon said it is 'analyzing a request for assistance from the US Capitol Police and the DC Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency'
