In a recent court motion, Joe Biden’s Justice Department changed the official name of its investigation into the protest at the Capitol on January 6, 2021. Originally designated the “Capitol breach” probe, the department just replaced “breach” with a more sinister word: siege.

“The ‘Capitol Siege’ refers to the events of January 6, 2021, when thousands of individuals entered the U.S. Capitol and U.S. Capitol grounds without authority, halting the Joint Session and the entire official proceeding of Congress for hours,” Matthew Graves, the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, wrote in a footnote to a February 10 filing. Graves commended Capitol and D.C. Metro police for “clear[ing] the Capitol of rioters” that afternoon.

But courtroom rhetoric isn’t the only thing Graves is heating up. The Justice Department has opened a “Capitol Siege Section” in the agency’s criminal division and wants to hire at least 20 more lawyers to help prosecute Americans for any involvement in what happened on January 6. Qualified attorneys will be employed on a temporary basis and could earn as much as $176,000 per year.

“Capitol siege” prosecutors will complement an army of thousands of Justice Department employees, including FBI agents from 56 field offices across the country, handling what Attorney General Merrick Garland warned is the biggest investigation in the department’s history. More than 730 people have been arrested so far—amounting to more than three times the number of federal arrests related to the 2020 “mostly peaceful” riots that lasted for months and resulted in far more death and destruction—and the first major trial of a January 6 defendant starts next week.

As freedom-lovers justifiably recoil at Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s crackdown on vaccine mandate protesters, Americans worry the same sort of political retribution could happen here. I’m sorry to report, it already has.

The scenes from Ottawa are matched or surpassed by the images here, including thuggish cops attacking January 6 protesters with mace and explosive devices. The difference? Instead of mounted police trampling a woman, ours merely shot and killed one woman and beat up a few more.

What the Trudeau regime is now unleashing against the truckers and their supporters has been underway in America for more than a year. Using January 6 as a pretext, the Biden regime is brandishing its authority to crush political dissent. Now, it appears Trudeau and his apparatchiks are stealing the U.S. Justice Department’s playbook of power and pain.

Biden Relocates 2000 Afghans PER MONTH to Virginia Conference Center Near Two Local Schools.

Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) has released a statement describing the relocation of thousands of Afghan “refugees” by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to the National Conference Center in Lansdowne, Virginia. The Center is walking distance from two local schools.

Drawing parallels with former German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s disastrous open borders policies enacted during Europe’s 2015 migrant crisis, the statement lays out a series of concerning policies which have scarcely been approved by local stakeholders.

LCSO received “an unannounced visit” by DHS Federal Protective Services (FPS), whose officers informed the Sheriff’s Office that roughly 2,000 Afghan “refugees” per month were “slated to arrive at the Washington Dulles International Airport” starting as soon as February 19th – this coming Friday.

The migrants will be shepherded in from February through September 2022, with DHS informing Sheriffs that “regional personnel” would then transport the refugees to the National Conference Center (NCC), where they would stay until being potentially relocated “elsewhere in the United States.”

DHS FPS “estimated that no more than 1000 refugees per month” would remain at the Conference Center “at any given time.”

The “follow-up conference call with a senior member of FEMA occurred the following day where he raised concerns about DHS’ lack of communication, lack of planning, language barriers, a failure to communicate with a myriad of potential stakeholders,” as well as the fact that the National Conference Center is unfenced and in a residential neighborhood containing at least two public schools.

DHS has significant difficulty in addressing any of Sheriff Chapman’s concerns, the answers of which were posted to Facebook:

• Considering the NCC is located within a largely residential area of Lansdowne and within walking distance of Riverside High School and Belmont Ridge Middle School, what arrangements were made with Loudoun County stakeholders to ensure the area is secure for the community?

DHS advised that the FPS would provide 15 officers for security at the NCC. However, the FPS has no law enforcement jurisdiction in Loudoun County and cannot enforce nor investigate any criminal activity on the campus.

• What communications had been done to prepare area residents who may be impacted by this?

None.

• What coordination with other Loudoun County stakeholders had been performed to this point to include Loudoun County Fire and Rescue (for medical emergencies), Loudoun County Public Schools, Loudoun County Department of Mental Health, Social Services, local hospitals, the Adams Center, or other area houses of faith, or the County government at large?

None. DHS stated that no coordination had occurred and that no notifications had been made to the community surrounding the NCC (as of February 15). Additionally, no coordination had been performed either with the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Director of Public Safety.

Lawrence Summers – a director of former President Barack Obama’s National Economic Council turned advisor to President Joe Biden – has collaborated with the Chinese Communist Party’s premier foreign influence group, flagged for its efforts to “influence foreign governments to take actions or adopt positions supportive of Beijing,” The National Pulse can reveal.

Summers – a fixture in the Democratic Party who also served as former President Bill Clinton’s Secretary of the Treasury – is the latest high-profile government official to enter the orbit of the Chinese Communist Party’s premier foreign influence group: the China United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF).

CUSEF is part of Beijing’s United Front Work Department, which the U.S. government has flagged as a subversive effort to “to co-opt and neutralize sources of potential opposition to the policies and authority of its ruling Chinese Communist Party” and “influence foreign governments to take actions or adopt positions supportive of Beijing.”

CUSEF has deployed this tactic on American journalists and former Congressmen, offering free trips to the country in exchange for “favorable coverage,” according to Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA) filings. The trips function as part of a broader effort to “effectively disseminate positive messages to the media, key influencers and opinion leaders, and the general public” regarding the Chinese Communist Party.

Summers, also the former Chief Economist of the World Bank and President of Harvard University, recently participated in an interview with The China Current, a show launched by CUSEF in 2019. During the interview, he praised the Chinese Communist Party as a “one-party state that has produced economic miracles for the last 40 years.”

When pressed on whether Trump truly believes China is going to invade Taiwan, he is convinced: "Oh, absolutely."

"Not with me, they wouldn't have," Trump noted. "They were waiting until after the Olympics. Now that the Olympics are over, look at your stopwatch, right?

"No, [Xi] wants that, too. It's almost like twin sisters right here – because you have one that wants Taiwan, I think equally badly."
