This is odd. The now-dead elderly parents of a Hollywood actress (who was discovered on a TV talent show at age 5, debuted acting at 7, and her pre-teen brother joined her in acting when they were children) reportedly died - each of "probable cardiac dysrhythmia" (aka arrhythmia) - at the SAME TIME - and ALL say the double, apparently simultaneous, deaths were caused by cold temperature inside their home despite the use of an operational space heater.

"A cause of death has been disclosed for the parents of actress Alicia Witt [best known for her roles in David Lynch's Dune, Orange Is the New Black, and The Walking Dead].

"The cause of death for Robert Witt, 87, and Diane Witt, 75, was 'probable cardiac dysrhythmia' due to the cold, according to death certificates issued on Wednesday and obtained by The Telegram & Gazette."

The dead couple's daughter, Alicia Witt, was a child musical prodigy and actor, discovered by David Lynch when she was 5, she made her acting debut at 7 years old in Dune followed by Twin Peaks. Her Wikipedia page has her many acting and musical credits.

"Her mother was an American and Guinness World Record holder for the longest hair, from 1989 to 1996. She has a brother, Ian.Talking by age two and reading by the age of four, Witt has been described as a child prodigy. Her acting talent was recognized by director David Lynch in 1980, when he heard her recite Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet on the television show That's Incredible! at age five." Her parents died in Massachusetts. She lived elsewhere. She was aware of problems with their house though claims she "had not been allowed in for 10 years" but they refused help. They were using a space heater (no carbon monoxide poisoning found) because the furnace was out – which the actress denies knowing, calling her parents "fiercely independent."

Of course, someone had to approve of appearance on a talent show at 5 years old, her acting at 7 years old, and her younger brother's acting at a very young age as well.

So… BOTH parents died AT or near the SAME TIME? Of heart issues related to the cold even though they had an operational space heater?

Maybe so.
