Soros-Linked Mass Migration Lobby: U.S. Must Open Borders to Ukraine Refugees

The mass migration lobby, with financial ties to billionaire George Soros, is using Russia’s invasion of Ukraine to demand the United States open its borders to refugees from across Eastern Europe.

Even as President Joe Biden’s administration has resettled nearly 75,000 Afghans across American communities in the last six months — many of whom were not properly vetted and cannot be located — mass migration groups who have a financial stake in refugee resettlement say the U.S. ought to immediately begin refugee flows from Ukraine.

“The U.S. can also lead by example and live up to its highest ideals in welcoming more refugees fleeing violent conflict, including from Ukraine,” Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service (LIRS) President Krish O’Mara Vignarajah said in a statement:

The refugee resettlement system is precisely how we protect vulnerable populations, whether they are from Afghanistan or Ukraine. The Biden administration’s increase of the refugee ceiling to 125,000 coupled with low refugee arrivals to date means there is ample room to welcome Ukrainians in search of safety. The administration must rebuild and streamline the refugee program’s processing capacity to prepare for this new humanitarian emergency. [Emphasis added]

Mark Krikorian, director of the Center for Immigration Studies, referenced the phrase popularized by former President Obama’s Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, which encompassed the administration’s goal of using various crises to enact policies.

“Never let a crisis go to waste,” Krikorian wrote.

The Council on National Security and Immigration and the Catholic Legal Immigration Network (CLINIC) are pleading with Biden to provide Ukrainians in the U.S. with Temporary Protection Status (TPS) to ensure they cannot be deported.

CLINIC has taken millions from Soros in the last two decades.

“Today, as the world watches with deep sorrow and concern over the Russian invasion of Ukraine, CLINIC calls on the Biden-Harris administration to extend an immediate 18-month designation of Temporary Protected Status … for Ukraine,” CLINIC executives said in a statement.

The latest Associated Press-NORC poll reveals that just 26 percent of Americans want the U.S. to have a “major role” in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Meanwhile, 72 percent said the U.S. should have a “minor role” or “no role” at all.

Every five years, refugee resettlement costs taxpayers nearly $9 billion. Over the course of a lifetime, taxpayers pay about $133,000 per refugee and within five years of resettlement, roughly 16 percent will need taxpayer-funded housing assistance.

Over the last 20 years, nearly a million refugees have been resettled in the nation — more than double that of residents living in Miami, Florida, and it would be the equivalent of annually adding the population of Pensacola, Florida.

Blinken: We’re Not Halting Gas and Oil Purchases from Russia Because We’re Trying to Minimize ‘Pain to Us’

On Thursday’s broadcast of “CBS Evening News,” Secretary of State Antony Blinken responded to a question on whether the United States will cut off purchases of oil and gas from Russia over its invasion of Ukraine by stating that we’re trying to ensure “that we inflict maximum pain on Russia” while at the same time, “minimizing any of the pain to us.”

Host Norah O’Donnell asked, “Russia’s economy’s fueled by gas, and the U.S. is a consumer. So, would the U.S. consider cutting off oil and gas purchases from Russia?”

Blinken responded, “Well, what we’re doing, Norah, across the board, is making sure that we inflict maximum pain on Russia for what President Putin has done, while minimizing any of the pain to us.”

He also stated, “We’re in full coordination with other countries, both consumers and producers alike, to minimize any impact that this may have on energy prices and on gasoline.”

The American truckers are gearing up for a massive protest in Washington DC in opposition to tyrannical COVID mandates.

Similar to the truckers in Ottawa, the US Convoy plans to disrupt traffic in DC over the coming days/weeks, beginning around the time of Biden’s upcoming State of the Union address that’s scheduled on March first. Thousands of protesters are expected to arrive for the demonstration, with several groups departing from across the country daily – one of which has already reached the Nation’s Capital.

On Thursday, one of the largest groups that’s making its way to Washington – The Peoples Convoy – nearly doubled in size for the second day in a row as it made its way across Arizona.

After departing from California yesterday, the convoy is now well over 100 vehicles strong – and growing fast.

Just take a look at the crowd that welcomed the convoy when they reached Kingman, Arizona to rest on Wednesday night.

By morning, the convoy was ready to hit the road again.

Starlink "Reconnects Tonga To World" Following Devastating Tsunami

A team of SpaceX engineers restored high-speed internet service to remote villages on the tiny Pacific island nation of Tonga that had undersea communication lines severed with nearby Fiji after the eruption of a massive volcano last month, according to Reuters.

"A SpaceX team is now in Fiji establishing a Starlink gateway station to reconnect Tonga to the world," Fiji's attorney-general Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum tweeted Monday.

By Wednesday, Tonga's prime minister, Siaosi Sovaleni, said 50 Starlink terminals would be distributed to the most remote parts of Tonga hit hard by the tsunami, which was triggered by the volcano.

"It is rather paradoxical for a devastating volcanic eruption and tsunami to bring to our shores the latest in satellite and communications technology," Sovaleni said in a speech broadcast by Tonga Broadcasting Commission.

"Elon Musk probably didn't know much about Tonga until January 15, but gave generously."

Tonga lies about 500 miles east of Fiji, and reconnecting the undersea communication cables is costly and time-consuming. The fastest means of reconnecting the tiny island has been installing a Starlink gateway ground station in Fiji that beams internet to satellites and repeats it to the terminals.
