and tells how the Freemasons were taken over by Illuminism.

It explains why the French Revolution was such a bloodbath.

It describes the indoctrination and OATHS that kept members quiet.

Albert Pike brought this Illuminism to the Southern states

and his doctrines became popular amongst the "illumined" lodges of Freemasonry.

Albert Pike worshipped Satan as the god of light.

The author, Payson, predicts the division of what became our civil war, as the southern lodges considered the northerners the "bougiousee" (sp). They followed the illumined lodges of France and Germany.
