Kremlin Says Ukraine Rejected Offer Of Belarus Talks

(Update 11:50am ET): While it seemed like a long shot from the beginning, the prospect of talks between Russia and Ukraine was cast into doubt as the Kremlin said Ukraine had stopped responding after rejecting Moscow’s initial offer of a meeting in Minsk, the capital of Belarus.

Instead, Ukraine sought a meeting in the Polish capital, Warsaw, the Kremlin said, adding it had heard nothing further. There was no immediate word from Ukraine on the Russian comments. The diplomatic to and fro comes as fighting continues on the ground with Russian forces having entered the capital Kiyv.

Of course, as Bloomberg adds, any talks would likely struggle to find common ground on the question of “neutrality” for Ukraine, which has sought to join NATO and draw closer to Europe.

(Update 10:20am ET): Following news that Russia is ready to send a delegation to Minsk for Ukraine talks, moments ago the Kremlin announced that Putin has agreed to organize negotiations after Zelensky said he was ready to discuss Ukraine's "neutral status" (i.e., not joining NATO). Here are the latest headlines from Reuters:

KREMLIN SAYS PUTIN HAS AGREED TO ORGANISE NEGOTIATIONS AFTER ZELENSKIY SAID HE WAS READY TO DISCUSS UKRAINIAN NEUTRALITY

KREMLIN SAYS WE HAVE NOTIFIED THE UKRAINIANS OF PROPOSAL TO HOLD TALKS IN MINSK

KREMLIN SAYS PUTIN HAS AGREED TO ORGANISE NEGOTIATIONS AFTER ZELENSKIY SAID HE WAS READY TO DISCUSS UKRAINIAN NEUTRALITY

The ruble and Russian stocks, as well as US and European stocks, extended gains after Putin aide Dmitry Peskov conveyed the offer of talks in Minsk, the capital of Russian ally Belarus. The Kremlin also notes that while the Ukraine initially proposed talks in Warsaw instead, it then broke off contact.

Separately, the Kremlin said that Ukrainian nationalists have deployed missile systems in residential areas in big cities, a move which the Kremlin dubbed as "very dangerous."

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow will only talk if Ukraine’s army surrenders. “We’re ready for negotiations at any time, as soon as the Ukrainian armed forces respond to our president’s call, stop resistance and lay down their weapons,” Lavrov said in the Russian capital.

Twitter Says It Will Consider Censoring "Emerging Narratives" About Ukraine War

Twitter announced that it was monitoring “emerging narratives” about the Ukraine war that will be censored if they represent a violation of the company’s policies.

The announcement was made in response to Twitter deleting tweets and suspending accounts that had posted videos of Russian tank divisions and helicopters heading to Ukraine.

After users complained, Twitter acknowledged that it had targeted the accounts in “error” and they were later restored.

However, a statement by a Twitter spokesperson is likely to cause alarm amongst free speech advocates.

“We took enforcement action on a number of accounts in error,” the statement said, adding, “We’ve been proactively monitoring for emerging narratives that are violative of our policies.”

The use of the term “emerging narratives” suggests that Twitter will begin censoring certain perspectives on the conflict in the context of their policy on “misinformation.”

These problematic “narratives” are almost certainly likely to be ones that question narratives being put out by the Biden White House and NATO sources.

Similar rules were applied to skepticism expressed towards COVID vaccines as well as the lab leak theory, which was once deemed to be ‘harmful misinformation’ but is now widely accepted as the most likely explanation for the pandemic.

The potential for the Russian attack on Ukraine to be exploited to push for further censorship and blacklisting of free speech in the west is a clear danger.

For weeks, leftists have been trying to smear Tucker Carlson as being guilty of “treason” over him accusing the Biden administration of exploiting tensions between Russia and Ukraine to distract from the president’s dreadful handling of domestic issues.

The word “traitor” also trended on Twitter yesterday in response to Nigel Farage suggesting that NATO should share some blame for Putin’s actions.

In a related story, the official Twitter Ukrainian government also lobbied Twitter to ban the official Russian government Twitter account.

Because that’s sure to stop Putin’s war machine.

In fact, the T-90 tanks are already heading back to Moscow as we speak.

Council of Europe votes to suspend Russia

Italy's FM said it was a “necessary measure in light of Russia's unacceptable military aggression against Ukraine”

The Council of Europe approved a motion on Friday to suspend Russia’s rights of representaion in the institution, which was formed in the aftermath of World War II to protect human rights and the rule of law across the continent.

“The decision adopted today means that the Russian Federation remains a member of the Council of Europe and party to the relevant Council of Europe conventions, including the European Convention on Human Rights,” the organization said in a statement.

Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio welcomed the move, saying that his country “considers this to be a necessary measure in light of Russia's unacceptable military aggression against Ukraine, which constitutes a serious violation of international law.”

The decision follows Russia’s massive military assault against Ukraine, which the Kremlin said was launched in support of separatist leaders who called on Moscow for support.

Earlier on Friday, Poland’s Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced that the Council would be considering Russia’s membership of the body.

Following the decision, Vladimir Dzhabarov, First Deputy Chairman of Russia's Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs, demanded the Council of Europe return the annual fee paid by Moscow to the Strasbourg-based institution.

“Dear Council of Europe, if I remember correctly, contributions were paid at the beginning of the year. So, be kind, show decency and return the Russian contribution for the current year. Everything is fair!!!” the senator wrote on his Telegram channel. The figure is understood to be €32.5 million.

Moscow launched a heavy military assault against Ukraine on Thursday – just days after recognizing the independence of the Donetsk and Lugansk breakaway republics in the Donbass.

The recognition was in response to Ukraine’s alleged failure to fulfill its obligations under the Minsk agreements struck, which were in 2014 and 2015 to resolve the conflict between separatists and the Ukrainian government.

Russian regulator to restrict access to Facebook

Moscow accuses Meta of “violating human rights” over the social network’s selective censorship

Russia will restrict access to Facebook from February 25, its media regulator, Roskomnadzor, said on Friday, citing a decision by prosecutors. Moscow has accused the US tech giant Meta of having breached “fundamental human rights” by blocking Russian accounts, including those of major news agencies.

The move comes a day after Meta-owned Facebook limited access to the official accounts of four Russian media outlets, including the RIA news agency. In total, Facebook has “censored” the Russian media some 23 times since October 2020, the regulator said, accusing the company of violating Russian law.

Roskomnadzor says it had demanded that Meta Platforms lift the restrictions and explain the reasons for the blockings, but its demands had been ignored.

In a statement released on Friday, the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office reacted to the bans by declaring that it deemed the social network an “accessory to” violating Russian citizens’ right to the freedom of information. Facebook has “illegally restricted” access to “socially significant” information through “discriminative” actions against the Russian media, it said.

The authorities will lift the restrictions if Facebook remedies all its breaches and restores access to the media content in question, Russian MP Aleksandr Khinshtein said on Friday.

Moscow has previously fined Facebook over non-compliance with the law. The list of its violations has ranged from breaching privacy laws by storing the personal data of citizens outside the country’s territory to repeatedly failing to delete content banned in Russia.

Facebook has cracked down on media outlets it deemed linked to Moscow, such as the RT-affiliated Redfish, which it censored in 2021. The banning of that account drew criticism from the International Federation of Journalists.

US Rep. Swalwell Suggests Kicking Russians Out of US Universities But Ignores Chinese in US Universities Stealing US Knowledge and Research Used in Development of COVID-19

Democrat US Congressman Eric Swalwell from California suggests that Russian students should be removed from US universities but he for some reason has never suggested the same for Chinese students.

FOXNews reported on Swalwell’s interview on CNN:

Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., said on CNN Thursday that kicking Russian students out of U.S. universities should be “on the table” in response to Russian President Vladimir Putin launching an invasion into Ukraine.

“Frankly, I think closing their embassy in the United States, kicking every Russian student out of the United States … should … be on the table. … Vladimir Putin needs to know every day that he is in Ukraine, there are more severe options that could come,” Swalwell said on “CNN Newsroom.”

The congressman added that other retaliatory actions should be sanctioning Putin personally and “completely” removing Russians from SWIFT, an international banking system that facilitates financial transactions between banks globally.

Shockingly, Swalwell never suggested that same after the Chinese released COVID on the world. We have reported that the knowledge, research and development, and money used to develop COVID and build China’s bioweapons expertise was paid in large part by the US and US universities.

There may be reasons to address Russians in US universities but to discount the massive infiltration of Chinese in US universities who bring back to China billions in knowledge, training, and state of the art knowledge in multiple industries. There is a good reason why Swalwell will never address this – because he is compromised.

Swalwell was caught sleeping with a Chinese spy and yet he still holds a position on the Intel Committee in Congress.

Stunning: Biden Defense Officials Are Trying to Figure Out How to Train Ukrainians to Fight by Online Video

FOX News White House correspondent Peter Doocy went on with Laura Ingraham on Thursday night as Russia continued its invasion of Ukraine.

Peter told Laura Biden Defense officials are trying to figure out how to teach Ukrainians to fight by online video.

Peter Doocy: We’ve been able to confirm that when Lloyd Austin went to Capitol Hill to brief senators about the Pentagon’s plans and the Biden orders to the military chiefs, they are figuring out how to train Ukrainian forces to fight Russians remotely… Right! And it would be a very 2022 thing.

Four points on this:

1.) It’s a little late. This should have been organized months ago.

2.) This is a pathetic way to pretend like they are committed to the people of Ukraine when they’re not.

3.) They are untrustworthy and a danger to our allies and the world.

4.) They really don’t care.

Clinton Allies Minyon Moore and Marc Elias Both Benefitted Greatly from Associations with BLM During 2020

We recently reported on BLM connections to Hillary Clinton through Board member Minyon Moore and attorney Marc Elias. We’ve uncovered more connections with these two.

We recently reported how two individuals close to the Clintons are connected to Black Lives Matter, the group that made millions of dollars in 2020 using the George Floyd death to instigate riots and rake in money. These two individuals were Marc Elias, who was Hillary’s attorney during her 2016 was the attorney assigned to BLM. Minyon Moore is on the Board of BLM and she also worked on Hillary’s campaigns and is now helping Biden pick a black female to be his pick for the Supreme Court.

What we previously didn’t report is that we’ve also identified that Moore is the President of Hillary’s non-profit Onward Together.

IOC calls for global ban on Russian flag and anthem at sports events

The IOC wants the Russian anthem and flag banned across the sporting world

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has called upon sporting bodies to ban the Russian flag and anthem from sporting competition and cancel or relocate events due to take place in Russia in a response to the ongoing military action in Ukraine.

An IOC Executive Board (EB) meeting also implored International Sports Federations to take the same action against Belarus.

A statement issued on the IOC website asks for any international sports events that are not already part of sanctions mandated by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) against Russia to adhere to the proposal.

Russian athletes have been competing under the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) banner following sanctions originally imposed by WADA in 2019 amid accusations of an engagement in a high-level doping campaign.

IOC Executive Board urges all International Federations to relocate or cancel their sports events currently planned in Russia or Belarushttps://t.co/w3zJFhiWpc

— IOC MEDIA (@iocmedia) February 25, 2022

"They should take the breach of the Olympic Truce by the Russian and Belarussian governments into account and give the safety and security of the athletes absolute priority," the organization said. "The IOC itself has no events planned in Russia or Belarus.

"In addition, the IOC EB urges that no Russian or Belarussian national flag be displayed and no Russian or Belarussian anthem be played in international sports events which are not already part of the respective World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) sanctions for Russia."

The board pledged its full support to the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) ahead of the Paralympic Games in Beijing, which begin on March 4.

It had previously been announced that Russian athletes will be permitted to compete at the Games in spite of the international condemnation of the military campaign which has seen Russia removed as host of this season's Champions League final, among other measures taken by sporting authorities.

"The IOC EB expresses its deep concerns about the safety of the members of the Olympic Community in Ukraine and stands in full solidarity," the statement added.

"It notes that the special IOC task force is in contact with the Olympic Community in the country to co-ordinate humanitarian assistance where possible.

"The IOC EB asks the task force to continue to closely monitor the situation and to keep the IOC EB informed and updated, also with regard to potential amendments of today’s resolution."

J&J, Distributors Finalize $26 Billion Landmark Opioid Settlement

CAMDEN, N.J.—Drugmaker Johnson & Johnson and three major distributors finalized nationwide settlements over their role in the opioid addiction crisis Friday, an announcement that clears the way for $26 billion to flow to nearly every state and local government in the United States.

Taken together, the settlements are the largest to date among the many opioid-related cases that have been playing out across the country. They’re expected to provide a significant boost to efforts aimed at reversing the crisis in places that have been devastated by it, including many parts of rural America.

Johnson & Johnson, AmerisourceBergen, Cardinal Health, and McKesson announced the settlement plan last year, but the deal was contingent on getting participation from a critical mass of state and local governments.

Friday was the deadline for the companies to announce whether they felt enough governments had committed to participate in the settlement and relinquish the right to sue. The four companies notified lawyers for the governments in the case that their thresholds were met, meaning money could start flowing to communities by April.

“We’re never going to have enough money to immediately cure this problem,” said Joe Rice, one of the lead lawyers who represented local governments in the litigation that led to the settlement. “What we’re trying to do is give a lot of small communities a chance to try to change some of their problems.”

While none of the settlement money will go directly to victims of opioid addiction or their survivors, the vast majority of it is required to be used to deal with the epidemic. The need for the funding runs deep.

Kathleen Noonan, CEO of the Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers, said a portion of the settlement money should be used to provide housing to people with addictions who are homeless.

“We have clients who have a hard time staying clean to make it in a shelter,” she said. “We would like to stabilize them so we can help them recover.”

Dan Keashen, a spokesman for Camden County government, said officials are thinking about using settlement money for a public education campaign to warn about the dangers of fentanyl. They also want to send more drug counselors into the streets, put additional social workers in municipal courts, and pay for anti-addiction medications in the county jail.

Officials across the country are considering pumping the money into similar priorities.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s proposed budget calls for using $50 million of the state’s expected $86 million share this year for youth opioid education and to train treatment providers, improve data collection, and distribute naloxone, a drug that reverses overdoses.

In Florida’s Broward County, home to Fort Lauderdale, the number of beds in a county-run detoxification facility could be expanded from 50 to 70 or 75, said Danielle Wang French, a lawyer for the county.

“It’s not enough, but it’s a good start,” she said of the settlement.

Mark Zuckerberg’s Election Interference Chief Now Runs Joe Biden’s White House Tech Team.

The White House’s Deputy Director of Technology previously worked for the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, which funneled nearly half a billion dollars into the 2020 U.S. election in an effort to secure a victory for Joe Biden.

Austin Lin’s unearthed role as a Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of Technology adds to the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative’s controversial role in the 2020 election, which it has been accused of rigging through partisan grants and mail-in ballot manipulation.

Moreover, Lin was hired to serve as the Biden Harris Transition Team’s Director of Information Technology and Security in July 2020, immediately after departing his role at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.

From the Transition Team, Lin entered the Biden White House as a Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of Technology, serving under fellow CZI alumnus David Recordon.

Similar to Recordon, Lin previously served in the Obama White House’s Office of Information Technology.

“Directed technology preparation for the 2017 Presidential Transition across a cross-functional team of engineering, security, legal, and support staff,” explains Lin in a summary of his role as former President Barack Obama’s Deputy Director of Information Technology.

Lin’s position appears to support allegations of a partisan conflict of interest over Zuckerberg-funded groups’ involvement in the 2020 election. Much of the Facebook founder’s election manipulation occurred through the far-left Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL), which used hundreds of millions of dollars from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative to overrule local election officials and increase turnout in – almost exclusively – Democratic districts.

According to an analysis conducted by the Amistad project, of “the 17 cities and counties that have received the largest “grants” from CTCL, totaling more than $51,000,000 combined, just under $300,000 was given” to Republican-leaning counties. “Local governments, with the support of Zuckerberg and Center for Technology and Civic Life (CTCL), are usurping the role of state governments in deciding the funding priorities for election spending, and demonstrate that private funds cannot be used to gain an undue advantage in these cities and counties in presidential battleground states and selectively targeted U.S. Senate and House races,” added the report.

Zelensky: I Am ‘Target Number One,’ My Family is ‘Number Two’

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday morning addressed his country and said he is “target number one” and his family is “target number two” for Russian troops, while later saying that the Biden administration is “watching from a distance” as the invasion unfolds.

“I know that a lot of misinformation and rumors are being spread now,” Zelensky said in a video, uploaded online. “In particular, it is claimed that I have left Kyiv. I remain in the capital; I am staying with my people. My family is not a traitor, but a citizen of Ukraine.”

Zelensky added: “According to our information, the enemy marked me as target number one. My family is the number two goal. They want to destroy Ukraine politically by destroying the Head of State. We have information that enemy sabotage groups have entered Kyiv. … I am staying in the government quarter together with others.”

On Friday, Russian missiles pounded Kyiv as families cowered in shelters and authorities told residents to prepare Molotov cocktails to defend Ukraine’s capital from an assault that the mayor said had already begun with saboteurs in the city.

Moscow claimed to have captured the Hostomel airfield northwest of the capital, a vital staging post for a planned assault on Kyiv, which has been fought over since the first hours of the war. This could not immediately be confirmed and the Ukrainian authorities reported heavy fighting there.

In another address, uploaded online, Zelensky appeared to criticize the United States and President Joe Biden.

“This morning, we are defending our country alone. Just like yesterday, the most powerful country in the world looked on from a distance,” he said. “Russia was hit with sanctions yesterday, but these are not enough to get these foreign troops off our soil. Only through solidarity and determination can this be achieved.”

In a speech on Thursday, Biden said he is not going to send U.S. troops to Ukraine, which is not a NATO member. Some analysts have said the United States doesn’t seek to get into a direct conflict with Russia as both nations possess significant numbers of nuclear weapons.

Ahead of Russia’s invasion, Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a speech appearing to threaten other nations with nuclear weapons if they get involved. He did not explicitly say whether he would consider using nuclear weapons.

“To anyone who would consider interfering from outside: If you do, you will face consequences greater than any you have faced in history. All the relevant decisions have been taken. I hope you hear me,” Putin said.

Air raid sirens wailed over the capital of three million people, where some residents sheltered in underground metro stations.

“The city has gone into a defensive phase. Shots and explosions are ringing out in some neighborhoods. Saboteurs have already entered Kyiv,” said Kyiv’s mayor, former world heavyweight boxing champion Vitali Klitschko. “The enemy wants to put the capital on its knees and destroy us.”

Zelensky Sarcastically Rebukes Italian PM Who Suggested He Went into Hiding After Missed Call

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky Sarcastically rebuked suggestions that he had gone into hiding by Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi after the two missed a phone call earlier today.

President Zelensky and Prime Minister Draghi were scheduled to speak on the telephone on Friday morning but were unable to connect, leading the Italian Prime Minister to suggest Zelensky had gone into hiding in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv.

“Yesterday President Zelensky also took part in the European Council, it was a really dramatic moment, he is hidden somewhere in Kyiv and he said that he and Ukraine no longer have time and that he and his family are the object. It was truly a dramatic moment,” Prime Minister Draghi said Friday.

“Today, this morning, he looked for me, we set a telephone appointment for 9:30 but it was not possible to make the phone call because President Zelensky was no longer available,” Draghi added, newspaper Il Giornale reports.

Zelensky took to Twitter to rebuke accusations that he was in hiding sarcastically remarking that next time the Italian leader wanted to talk, he’d reschedule the invasion of his country by Russia to suit them. He wrote: “Today at 10:30 am at the entrances to Chernihiv, Hostomel and Melitopol there were heavy fighting. People died. Next time I’ll try to move the war schedule to talk to Mario Draghi at a specific time. Meanwhile, Ukraine continues to fight for its people.”

Italian politician Marco Di Maio moved to give covering fire to the Italian Prime Minister after the spat, however, taking to social media to write that Draghi’s comments were out of concern, not rebuke. He also added, incredibly, that Italy “will support the toughest possible sanctions to counter the criminal Russian invasion”.

Indeed, while Prime Minister Draghi and the Italian government have expressed support for Ukraine against the invasion of its territory by Russian forces, Italy has been reluctant to pressure Russia with severe sanctions in response to the moves of President Vladimir Putin and the Kremlin.

This week, Italy was among several European countries, including Germany, who resisted calls to suspend Russia from the SWIFT global payment system, with some arguing that the measure should be a last resort.

Italy, Germany, Austria and other countries that resisted the idea to remove Russia from the SWIFT system are also largely reliant on natural gas supplies from Russia at a time when European gas reserves are usually low.

The Institute of Energy Economics at the University of Cologne, however, has claimed that Europe could get by on existing reserves over the next six weeks as long as temperatures do not drop dramatically, even if Russian deliveries were to halt.

Two Journalists Murdered in Mexico This Week — 7 Killed in 2022

Mexico continues to experience a dramatic rise in murdered journalists despite claims by officials that the cases are being properly investigated. This week, gunmen killed two reporters in Mexico City and the border state of Sonora.

The most recent murder took place on Thursday afternoon when gunmen in Empalme, Sonora, killed Jorge Luis “El Choche” Camero, the director of the news outlet El Informativo. According to Proceso, Camero ran the online publication and worked as a personal assistant to the mayor.

Information released by the Sonora Attorney General’s Office revealed that unknown gunmen shot and killed Camero at a local gym. The journalist may have been targeted by one of the cartels fighting for control of Sonora after his publication exposed the organization known as “La Plaza,” which is controlled by feared drug lord Rafael Caro Quintero, Proceso reported. Sonora authorities claimed Camero was identified in a social media video as being part of a criminal organization and took leave from his municipal job to face those allegations.

China State Banks Restrict Purchases Of Russian Commodities, Pause Buying Russian Seaborne Crude

While Beijing has so far clearly telegraphed it is aligned, at least ideologically, with Moscow in the nascent Ukraine war, refusing to call Putin's move an "invasion" and also blaming the US for stoking the conflict while refusing to condemn the military action, Bloomberg reports that "at least two" of China’s largest state-owned banks are restricting financing for purchases of Russian commodities, "underscoring the limits of Beijing’s pledge to maintain economic ties" Russia in the face of sanctions by the U.S. and its allies.

According to the report, Industrial & Commercial Bank of China’s offshore units stopped issuing U.S. dollar-denominated letters of credit for purchases of physical Russian commodities ready for export, even though yuan-denominated letters of credit are still available for some clients, subject to approvals from senior executives.

Bank of China has also curbed financing for Russian commodities based on its own risk assessment, Bloomberg also noted adding that the bank has yet to receive explicit guidance on Russia from Chinese regulators.

Because commodity-linked letters of credit are issued so frequently, they would be among the first transactions impacted by the threat of sanctions.

While it is unclear whether Chinese banks have pulled back from other forms of financing for Russian companies and individuals, the news comes after an overnight report noted that Chinese oil importers - the world’s biggest buyer of Russian crude - had briefly paused new seaborne purchases as they assess the potential implications of handling the shipments following the Ukraine invasion.

According to Chinese refiners and traders who sell into the region, regular buyers of Russian crude that load from the Far East ports said they will stay on the sidelines until more clarity on cargo financing and payments is available. Separately, freight costs for cargoes loading from the Black Sea have tripled as shippers shunned the region due to security risks (more on this in a subsequent post).

While Russian energy exports were spared from U.S. sanctions, some European banks such as ING Groep NV and Rabobank have begun to impose restrictionson commodity-trade finance linked to the two countries. Others lenders are also scaling back their exposure by limiting the issuance of letters of credit against cargoes that originated in Russia. And now it appears that Chinese banks themselves are pausing their own LC issuance until the smoke clears.

Biden has been presented with options for massive cyberattacks against Russia

The options presented include disrupting the internet across Russia, shutting off power and stopping trains in their tracks.

President Joe Biden has been presented with a menu of options for the U.S. to carry out massive cyberattacks designed to disrupt Russia’s ability to sustain its military operations in Ukraine, four people familiar with the deliberations tell NBC News.

Two U.S. intelligence officials, one Western intelligence official and another person briefed on the matter say no final decisions have been made, but they say U.S. intelligence and military cyber warriors are proposing the use of American cyberweapons on a scale never before contemplated. Among the options: disrupting internet connectivity across Russia, shutting off electric power, and tampering with railroad switches to hamper Russia’s ability to resupply its forces, three of the sources said.

“You could do everything from slow the trains down to have them fall off the tracks,” one person briefed on the matter said.

Hunter Biden Invested In A Pandemic Firm Collaborating With Daszak’s EcoHealth and The Wuhan Lab.

Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners – an investment firm led by Hunter Biden – was a lead financial backer of Metabiota, a pandemic tracking and response firm that has partnered with Peter Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance and the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners (RSTP) was an offshoot of Rosemont Capital, an investment fund founded by Biden and John Kerry’s stepson in 2009, that counted Biden as a Managing Director.

Among the companies listed on archived versions of the firm’s portfolio is Metabiota, a San Francisco-based company that purports to detect, track, and analyze emerging infectious diseases, The National Pulse can reveal.

Financial reports reveal that RSTP led the company’s first round of funding, which amounted to $30 million. Former Managing Director and co-founder of RSTP Neil Callahan – a name that appears many times on Hunter Biden’s hard drive – also sits on Metabiota’s Board of Advisors.

Leaked report: Israel acknowledges Jews in fact Khazars; Secret plan for reverse migration to Ukraine

Fast-breaking Developments

Followers of Middle Eastern affairs know two things: always expect the unexpected, and never write off Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who has more political lives than the proverbial cat.

Only yesterday came news that Syrian rebels plan to give Israel the Golan Heights in exchange for creation of a no-fly zone against the Assad regime. In an even bolder move, it is now revealed, Israel will withdraw its settlers from communities beyond the settlement blocs—and relocate them at least temporarily to Ukraine. Ukraine made this arrangement on the basis of historic ties and in exchange for desperately needed military assistance against Russia. This surprising turn of events had an even more surprising origin: genetics, a field in which Israeli scholars have long excelled.

A Warlike Turkic People—and a Mystery

It is well known that, sometime in the eighth to ninth centuries, the Khazars, a warlike Turkic people, converted to Judaism and ruled over a vast domain in what became southern Russia and Ukraine. What happened to them after the Russians destroyed that empire around the eleventh century has been a mystery. Many have speculated that the Khazars became the ancestors of Ashkenazi Jews.

Arabs have long cited the Khazar hypothesis in attempts to deny a Jewish historical claim to the land of Israel. During the UN debate over Palestine Partition, Chaim Weizmann responded, sarcastically: “lt is very strange. All my life I have been a Jew, felt like a Jew, and I now learn that I am a Khazar.” In a more folksy vein, Prime Minister Golda Meir famously said: “Khazar, Schmazar. There is no Khazar people. I knew no Khazars In Kiev. Or Milwaukee. Show me these Khazars of whom you speak.”

Is this an attempt to populate Greater Israel?

Israel prepares to receive thousands of Jews from Ukraine

Israel yesterday announced that it is ready to receive thousands of Jews wishing to flee Ukraine following the Russian military operation there, Anadolu reported.

"We are ready to accept thousands of Jewish immigrants from Ukraine," Minister of Immigration and Absorption, Pnina Tamano-Shata, was quoted as saying by Israel's Kan news agency.

"Our door will be open to anyone who wants to come. We will find solutions that go beyond what we are prepared for," she added.

"Israel is prepared to deliver immediate humanitarian assistance to Ukraine."

Earlier yesterday, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid condemned Russia's military intervention in Ukraine, describing it as a "serious violation of world order".

This came after Moscow launched a "full-scale invasion" of Ukraine, with dozens reported dead after cities across the country were targeted, prompting tens of thousands of people to flee their homes, Al Jazeera reported.

After air raids and missile strikes, Russian troops attacked Ukraine on multiple fronts from Belarus, Russia and Crimea which Russia annexed in 2014.
