The hair band phase didn't mind the grotesque because rebuking the holy was self-evidence of the disproof of the narrative of the falsities of the "Gospel". Then eventually you'd get a band named disturbed normalizing disturbed shit to kids in the name of "rebellious Rock n Roll!!!", and then everyone saying "OK, look. All that shit you learned in history class contradicts with Church Narratives" and then "Your existential crisis is a result of realizing subjective experience is the reality of existence because objectivity is bullshit.
