They figured out how to bankrupt people who have health insurance.
Sales tax
Every time goods & services change hands, the government gets a cut.
Think about how many times a car can be sold to a new owner. Every time the car gets sold, the government gets a cut again, and again, and again.
If a car has five different owners, the gov't got a cut every time the car was sold. Over & over & over.
How much tax is collected on a single item from the time it is manufactured to the time that a consumer buys the final product? Every part of the process is taxed.
Something that should cost the consumer $1 instead costs $10 because of how many times the materials for the end product has been taxed.
The tax racket.
It's financial rape.
All to keep the middle class as debt slaves and to keep the lower class dependent on gov't handouts.
Control.
When the middle class isn't any better off than the welfare class, it's easier for "them" to sell the idea of Socialism.
Everyone gets "free stuff", everyone is equally poor, and the "free stuff" rug can be pulled out from under people at any given time.
Meanwhile the gov't. wastes money as quickly as they collect it.
The Barter System worked great until the Government decided to stick it's finger in the pie and gobble up all of the profits.
Inflation devalues cash.
The savings of a lifetime in 1970 wouldn't be enough to buy a used car today.
And then to see how they waste the tax dollars that they collect, adds insult to injury.
Just like when they say, not only are we going to make abortion legal, we are going to make tax payers pay for it.
They always do both, cause the injury and then rub salt into the wound. It's like an evil recipe that they use. They always take it a step further.
